This review is for parents who might have a similar experience with the school in future, to help avoid unnecessary confusion and distress. The school's teachers with best of their intent ask for assessment of a child, no harm in finding out what they must work on and concentrate in a child. However, post that your child seems to become a research subject, amplifying how they like to read the assessment and not really following a professional child psychologist's advice and assessment ( ironically the psychologist is referred by them!). They may then ask parents to go for multiple special classes beyond the school. To those whose children may need interventions, please do so but only follow the psychologist's advise and do not get overwhelmed by the Earth school teachers as they don't have the experience and authority to advise in special cases. To those who find that it's confusing and the child is normal, please do not overbrain or comply with the demands of the school. This would help your child and you avoid unnecessary confusion and stress. With good intent for fellow parents.

The place is too dirty, surrounded by rude staffs. When we entered we noticed that the tile chair placed on the right side of the outdoor is not safety for kids, especially if your kid loves jumping and playing. The environment was dirty and we could spot several moth sized mosquitos that going to ruin the child's day. The most common reason is that this school is located near unmaintained trees and just behind the railway tracks which is going to attract insects. The staff that greeted us was stinking that we could smell it off few metres away, is this how you people at Earth School maintain hygiene? If your staffs are not hygiene how could you teach cleanliness to the kids, shouldn't you lead by example? When we were looking around for schools to admit my kid, almost all the schools greeted us and made us feel home. They walked us through the curriculum and around their infrastructure. But The Earth School was just the opposite. They first sent a maid who made us wait out near the corridor, and then comes the ms.stinker who jotted down our names and just unwelcomed us by sending us back.. is this how you greet your foot falls ? One of the worst experience and I wouldn't admit my kid even if they had offered a free admission. Drawbacks. 1. Lack of safety 2. Un hygiene 3. Attracts Insects 4. Rude staff behaviour 5. Untidy staff members 6. Un welcoming We couldn't find anything positive about this place..

The Earth school is a unique, one of its kind school. My tryst with the school started when my son joined in at 2.5. He is now 8. This is a space dedicated to children. The environments are built on the Montessori philosophy and children are allowed to be themselves and explore in many ways. Free play is an integral part of school and the space allows for a natural development of a child’s personality!

My 3 children attended the Earth School for many years and I have nothing but praise for the school and its facilitators. The Earth School is an authentic Montessori school with the most dedicated faculty I have come across. My kids are now thriving, independent and creative teenagers who carry with them the love for learning instilled by the Earth School.

I remember coming away after our first visit to The Earth School - with such a good feeling that it was a safe, happy and enriching place for our child. And today, almost 9 years later, the same feeling - grown manifold- continues. Our daughter completed her primary and elementary years here and has recently transitioned to another school. The Earth School remains an integral part of our lives and continues to shape the way she is growing up, and learning to independently negotiate the world and find her own path. Our own growth as parents had also been hugely enriched. I wish i could've studied in a school like this.

We found The Earth School quite by accident. It was mentioned to me in passing at another preschool. I was told that the type of parents that asked the questions I was asking regarding outdoor time, free play and independent work usually ended up enrolling their children at the Earth School. We promptly got in touch with the Earth School and went to a parent information session that was run by one of the teachers. We were impressed by how confident, knowledgable and comfortable the teacher was in speaking with us. She was able to introduce us to both the Montessori philosophy in general and The Earth School's philosophy in particular. Both resonated with us. Although our son was less than two years old at that point, we knew we had found the right place for our family, and filled out an admission form within weeks of that first meeting. This is the third year that we have been part of the Earth School community. Our son started at going to Earth School at 2 years and four months. The teachers are skilled, and patient. They understand children and are thoroughly immersed in the Montessori philosophy. One of the ways that their understanding of children is exemplified is the process they've created to help parents and children separate when children first start attending school. There is no pressure to drop children off and leave, and there are no crying, bereft children at the gate. Parents are welcome to stay in the classroom and later in the playground as the child becomes accustomed to the school and the teachers. The process of helping parents and children gradually separate in school over a period of days (sometimes weeks) was the gentlest transition to school that I've ever experienced. And this process varied for every single child, depending on their individual personality and needs. The transparency and willingness to meet each individual child where they are at is part of the philosophy, and the practice at the school. We have been consistently impressed by the thorough, detailed and thoughtful observations that have been made by the teachers; the accommodations they make for our child; their knowledge of his progress and their ability to make recommendations to us regarding how we can best help him at home. They are committed to ensuring children play outdoors, in nature, freely and that they learn to interact with one another and work out how to play across age groups. As we work through the pandemic, we are happy to see that they remain committed to the Montessori philosophy. We have had excellent ideas for activities shared with us periodically. We have had the most generous, beautifully wrapped packages sent home to us, along with written instructions. It has been a joy to feel that we have partners in this learning journey who are as invested as we are in our son's growth and development.

We started our journey with Earth School around seven years back. A dear friend recommended the school and so we decided to attend the presentation that they have for prospective parents. We were new to the Montessori approach to learning but the presentation gave us a very clear insight into the approach and the school's philosophy. Unlike most schools that just say that each child is unique but their program never follows through, The Earth School did seem like a school that approached each child as a individual with different pace of learning and doing. Through these seven years, The Earth School, has stayed true to its philosophy, there is absolutely no confusion about what their approach is. We were pleasantly surprised by their insightful observation about our child, just not academically but also emotionally, and this has helped us such that we could better support our child through her journey. Their feedback didn't just help our child but also helped us evolve as parents. The Earth School has kept alive in our child a joy for learning and has encouraged her to be curious about life around her. She has blossomed into a confident young girl, who now does not shy away from things that she finds challenging. Besides this I also would like mention that the quality of materials that is used for teaching, the cleanliness that they maintain, the quality of staff is fantastic. I have and will continue to recommend this school to parents who believe in holistic education and where learning is through joy and love versus learning through fear.
