ABOUT FCC SOUTH ASIA
Welcome to the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of South Asia, a group of more than 500 journalists and photographers covering India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Afghanistan and Tibet.
New members are always welcome – there is a link to the membership application form on this page. While the club was started by “Foreign” correspondents, or those who work for news outlets outside of the region, we also welcome journalists from local newspapers, magazines and television. In addition to journalists we admit associates such as diplomats, lawyers, and people dealing with the media from non-governmental organizations and companies.
As India’s economy has boomed in recent years, and conflict continued to grip Afghanistan and other neighboring areas, the FCC has become an important meeting point for far-flung travelling journalists to reconnect and recharge. The club has also substantially expanded what it offers to members, to include more press conferences, sports match screenings, book launches and other cultural events.

β β β β β Difficult to reach due to the construction of a bridge on the main road, but a quiet place with an old world ambience. Miss the comfortable old chairs in the bar, which have now been replaced by modern but painful ones.

β β β β β It feels that the place, engulfed in its rich history, has stopped to change much. The old english feel is easily evident. But the lack-luster furniture, leaking taps, old style difficult to close doors present the lost glory and lack of current resources. The location & space make it a sought after place.
