★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had booked a trek to Kheerganga, along with my friends and unfortunately had the worst services ever. The guide, though friendly was extremely unprofessional and left us midway to finish the trek on our own. We had to rely on local villagers for the way during terrible rains and risky and slippery roads. The guide did not really guide us in anyway throughout the trek.
Coming to the remaining staff at the campsite, barring one, they were rude and inefficient. The food was bad (e.g. aloo parantha had no stuffing and was just maida parantha) and on complaining about the same to the guide, he just told us that several customers have complained about the staff and they are planning to do something about it. This is highly unprofessional because if you are aware about the issue and still aren't doing anything about it, then you are only ruining your client's experience, which was the case with us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went on the Kheerganga trek, which we as a group were looking forward to.
Started an hour late as we kept waiting for a group we were supposed to do this trek along with. Meanwhile we expected that our guide Dhruv would atleast meet us at the starting point, but he thought it was better to keep a group waiting and have no communication till the whole lot was on location.
So yes, we had 1 guide for a group of 9. Not what yoh would ideally expect.
Anyways we did not give that too much heed to that as we were hoping to have a good experience by the end of it.
You usually expect a guide to tell you about the place you travel through, make it interesting, motivate people who are falling behind, tell stories which make the trek not only fun but seem easier. Our guide Dhruv managed to avoid to do all of the above things. His only role was to travel really fast by himself, wait at a spot where he would tell us which way next and take off while we caught our breath. In a 20-22kms trek he met us at 9 locations total excluding the beginning and the camp site. Yeah, there is no meeting in the end as he obviously took off and never even bothered to wait or check if we made it safe.
A very bad experience in all with the guide.
And for the campsite we stayed at Rose Camping, probably the lowest rated among all camps there. Smallest tents, bad food (think about an aloo paratha without aloo) and rude staff.
So if at all you are doing Kheerganga make sure you avoid 2 things - Dhruv and Rose camping.

2. Trek like just come and go.
3. Due to aged couple we didn't able to cover all points
4. No activities arranged except slogan.
Trek could be more wonderful if it was planned properly. Worst trek ever came for. Giving one star because no other option.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We availed the services of TGN in Dec, 2018 for our trek to Kuari Pass. I must say it was a lovely experience like all the pervious ones (Valley of flowers, Hampta Pass, Kedarkahtha) we have had with TGN. We were extremely impressed with the stay at Josimath. Himalayan Abode is surely an amazing place to stay, all the rooms have tastefully done interiors and the service is really homely and top notch.
Coming to the trek itself it was a lovely trek made better by the able guide provided to us and the stay in the tents at the hills was also comfortable with friendly people managing the services.
Would like to give a special thanks to Venkat who has been my point of contact at TGN, for all the treks I have booked. It's always comforting to know that he would be able to come up with the best trekking options available....
