★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't go over here price of normal chikki is very high i suggest to go to sunrise chikki other than maganlal chikki because sunrise chikki has only factory branch and maganlal chikki has so many fake branches naming there shops as maganlal chikki.

While laying and establishing railway track from Bombay (Mumbai) to Pune, the british officer observed that the work in the mountains is exhaustive and the labours are getting tired. So he asked for suggestions for food which can give instant energy to labours. That time Shri Maganlal adviced him to give peanuts with jiggery. And this is the start of Chikki. Now this energy food has become so popular that in every Maharastrian house you find Chikki. But now it has become commercialised and the types, quality, has changed. So many other products are also sold in Chikki shops.
