★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is right next to the platform no 3-4 in Matunga station.You can see local trains on track from your dining table. It's Average for the Rs250 meal. In Sundays, only Rs250 meal no other option. Hv to take token first and they allot table number for you. Chass, sambhar, rasam, 2-3 curry and 2 frys followed by sweet (any one frm carrot halwa, rasgulla, payasam, gulkhand) carrot halwa is better among all I felt. Food served in banana leaf typical mumbai style, a small size leaf, don't expect like Chennai or some other place frm Tamilnadu. Same goes with taste of Rasam and sambhar, they are far frm the original taste wat you get in Chennai. If you are new to South Indian thali meal, it may be ok. Overall the price Rs250 is on the higher side considering the menu and the taste.You can try once for experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visiting this place is a mandate! An authentic south indian food house which is bursting at the seams as it opens! You get an option for Banana leaf or a thali to be served on and ofcourse if you wanna enjoy it to the fullest banana leaf goes without saying, unlike other restaurants where options are limited but here you have a so many options to ogle on, you need to buy a coupon before you dine in which you can buy a limited serve or a unlimited one aswell.
The staff is very cordial and they keep checking on you if you are enjoying the meal and what can be done to improve it.
The flow of service is continuous you will never have to wait for a refill as the staff there is always on their rounds to make sure you have a tummy full and scrumptious meal!
All in all a great place to experience what South Indian food and hospitality is.

Traditional Food, Well Mannered and Diciplined Staff, Tasty, Healthy & Hygienic Food...
Must to visit place in Matunga on Sunday...
* kindly note it's very crowded on Sundays and holidays..be prepared for Waiting...But it's worth for sure

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an amazing place for people who love South Indian food. This does not need a review as it's already quite popular. it is located next to Matunga station.
We visited on a Sunday and it was jam packed with a waiting time close to 45 mins.
It is quite reasonable compared to the quality and variety of food that is served here. I could not click many pictures as I was busy eating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As I love south indian food and this Udupi restaurant who serves delicious authentic South Indian delicacies that is pure veg and you have option to choose limited and unlimited thali but on Sunday they serves only unlimited thali also this place is very crowdy so whenever you want to visit prepare yourself to wait for sometime but your wait is worth that's for sure...
I love everything here... Must visit ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 250rs Per Thali. Very old hotel. Right outside the Matunga station. It has a huge legacy. The most refreshing part is to see the owners on the floor. Usually children of past owners don’t personally handle the place but here all are beautifully involved. The taste wasn’t the best unlike old times. But nonetheless I was happy to go there after many many years. Main attraction of this place is unlimited food which draws the people there. There are many variety of sweets to also choose from gulab jamun, halwa etc. curd and chaas also served.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have visited this place since I was a child. I have still vivid memories of the authentic South Indian food I ate as a child. There is a quaint little corner near Matunga Railway station where this hotel is located. When I came back after several years, I was surprised to see that nothing had changed. Both the taste and location of the restaurant remained unchanged. My only observation was that they became more organized. Kudos to the entire team!!
