THE GOOD
-
1. Riveting work environment. No one can stay stressed or anxious at Urja.
2. Comfortable office. Nice and cozy; it makes you feel right at home.
3. The people are understanding and empathetic, so if you’re dealing with personal problems, they’ll take care of you.
4. The owner is a kind, humble man and has an open-door policy.
5. Salaries were paid on time and with zero deductions even during the dreaded Lockdown of 2020.
6. The seniors have a tonne of experience and are always willing to guide you when you need it.
7. Bonuses are given every year and deserving employees get incentives.
THE BAD
-
1. The workload is too high. You’ll have to put in overtime and work on your days off if need be.
2. Poor communication. The CS team needs to work on this as it leads to multiple iterations.
3. Lack of clarity. At times, the job you get might seem like a 15-minute one, but ends up taking over an hour.
4. Some Copywriters deliver only towards the end of the day, which means the Designers have to work after-hours.
5. Constant micromanagement and nitpicking.
6. At times it gets noisy and distracting at the office. Not good for creativity, in my opinion.
Overall, it’s a decent agency when you’re starting out. Great place to kickstart your career and learn from the masters.
Shout-out to my awesome Group Head, Jisha Nair, for always being nurturing and supportive. You made it slightly easier during tough times.
