The collection of handloom is just breathtaking, and in very affordable prices, as this is mostly home to government emporiums of different states. The place is smaller than its South Kolkata counterpart, the far more famous Dakshinapan. But the variety is honestly to die for. If you live around North or East Kolkata and love all things handloom and handmade, this place is a good pick.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place for shopping peacefully. There are shops from different states of India along with various other shops. As it is comperatively less crowded customer will get more time choose their items more comfortably. In "state shops" prices are fixed.
Market remains closed on Sunday and some public holidays.
