★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the busiest station in Howrah Main line route. It is the fourth station in the main line corridor. The station is well connected by road. Rikshaw, Toto, auto etc are available to the nearby areas. The station has a footfall of more than 5000 people per day and more than 100 local train per day. The station has 3 no of ticket counter, the main counter has ticket vending machine also. It is not a junction station, so no mail/express stops here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uttarpara Railway platform is very beautiful. But down platform should be parallel with the up platform. If it done ,passenger of the down platform yeasily out of the platform towards Howrah.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Generally ticket counter on the right hand side is always serviceable but on the other hand ticket counter towards Makhla (name of the place) or platform number is 3 is terrible. Most of the time it's closed. It's really tough at times to cross those three lines to buy ticket. Please do the needful ?? it'd really be convenient.
