★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The neighbourhood convenient store/shop which opens as early as 7 am everyday - yes the only place in kalina to be open so early. Pav, patties and everything from milk, soap, biscuits to pickles, burgers, puri bhaji, puran poli and cakes. For us Mangaloreans especially - goli bajje, buns, sheera, dosa chutney, fugias and a host of other breakfast items.
In these times of social distancing, when the main road of Kalina turns into a chaotic crowded cesspit, the isolated inner bylanes of old cst road/Kalina village leading to Mr Pinto's shop acts as a relief of a lifeline.

Don't ever visit Vaibhav store Kalina - Shop owner PINTO behavior is very arrogant, shouting, disrespecting to senior citizens.
my dad aged 75 years was very badly insulted and thrown out of shop by pinto. soon after this incident happened my dad next day morning suddenly went under mental trauma and high blood pressure all bcoz of pinto pathetic attitude no respect for others especially senior citizen, since there is no general store near by him he takes advantage and plays such attitude he thinks he is king out there Ruling such way.
Guys there are many other 8-10 general stores on main road 2 mins walking from his store. i strongly recommend all to get materials from other stores we should not depend on Pinto vaibhav store and make him seat on our heads and not let him speak whatsoever.
