One of the best Andhra restaurants I’ve been to! Absolutely fell in love with the food. Loved the ambience. Service and staff was super nice and catering to your needs with the warmest smile on their faces! Must must try the Andhra meal here! The rasam is lip smackingly brilliant. Must also try the Carrot Halwa and the Gulab Jamun. Will make you fall in love!

As the long standing saying goes that Andhra Bhojanam is soo spicy that you can feel it even after hours of savouring the Andhra delicacies ! One such authentic Andhra style restaurant is Vandana Andhra ! Located on the Sarjapur Main road ,the place is easily locatable as there is Snap fitness ,Naturals Saloon and also Bank of Baroda in the same building , probably my love for some spicy biriyani made me ride all the way from Jayanagar to Sarjapur road ,12 km away to savour it ! The place sits on the 1st floor of the building and has ample space for both two wheeler and four wheeler parking ! Was greeted politely by their manager ,most of the staff spoke Telugu and Kannada as well ! The ambience is good ,I mean there is nothing short of a fine Dine restaurant , brightly lit ,well air conditioned and also ,the walls were pasted with fine wallpaper which also complimented their sun shades and blinds ! You guys can have a look at the ambience in the pics which I have uploaded separately ! Coming to the food department ,tried the Hot n Sour soup ,the quantity sufficed me but I could say if they added a little less ginger the soup would have been amazing ! The starters we're just awesome! Being a vegetarian they say the options at an Andhra style fine Dine is limited but this place even with the limited options I just loved the starters ! Even if you are a non-vegetarian try the Paneer Sholay and Mushroom Pepper Dry ,really loved both of them. The Paneer Sholay was perfectly marinated and also cooked with the iconic curry leaf style for which Andhra places are famous for ! Mushroom Pepper Dry was as good as Paneer Sholay ! Spicy and Juicy ! Then tried a portion of the Veg Biriyani! It was not that spicy , probably I could eat the whole portion without the Raitha ,but the flavour was spot on ,aromated rice , perfectly flavoured ! I would have preferred the Biriyani even though it was Vegetarian to be a little more spicy ! Finally the highlight of any Andhra Fine Dine , Vegetarian Leaf Meals or Yele Oota ! The tomato and ginger chutney was good ,tangy and spicy ! Rice was accompanied by a sambar ,rasam and Majjaga Charu ! I felt the Majjaga Charu or Khadi was a little cold and sweetish ! Even the pakodi which was served on the leaf was just okish ! I ordered fresh line juice ! Well made and also good quantity was served ! Finished my Sunday adventure with Gajar Halwa ,must say the Halwa was too good ,yeah enquired them ,it's made in house there at the restaurant ! If it not for the soup ,Khadi and Pakodi this place would have got a 5/5 Taste-4/5 Quality-5/5 Quantity-4/5 Price-4/5 Ambience-3.5/5 Whether I would visit them again ? - Yes ,for the starters and Gajar Halwa ! PS.-The pics have been uploaded separately :)

Located bang on the mainroad just opposite to Salarpuria Sancity apartments and very near to wipro campus... this place is a must to visit for people craving for some authentic Andhra food. Spread a little over 5000 sq ft on the first floor, the place is very aesthetically pleasing, cosy, right lighting and short of being called as a palace with reference to the interiors done. The place can accommodate 180 pax at a time. Service is just perfect with the waiters and manager going the extra mile in ensuring customer delight!!(not satisfaction). The Soups tried were- Manchow Chicken Soup- too well done, perfectly spiced, chicken pieces well cooked and served hot. Tomato with Cream Soup- good, thick and creamy served hot Mushroom Soup- Careful! The mushrooms were just too hot but done so well that they were a joy to eat The starters tried were: Fish Fingers- Bass fish coated and deep fried. Too dry, could have been better Paneer Sholay kebab- the dish was so well done that even the non- eaters of paneer will fall in love. The chef takes great pride with the right marination, flavours and whipping up the dish just so right that I don’t have any words to describe. MUST TRY. Apollo Fish- clearly the STAR OF THE EVENING dish. The basa fish was dunked in the batter and deep fried. The taste was so good that we couldn’t stop helping ourselves for more. Wow Chef... way to go. Fish Fry- Seer fish with marinated masala on both sides served deep fried in oil. Here am cribbing about the masala layer on top coming off when we try to cut the fish and exposing the bare bland fish... this has to be addressed. Taste was good with me squeezing a few drops of fresh lime on the fish Signature Chicken- this dish is so hard to eat even it gets cold a little. Certainly didn’t tickle my taste buds enough Vandana Special Chicken- a dish well cooked to perfection and a joy to eat. Tandoori Prawns- Wow... loved the way they served with a small lamp lighted in the plate... the prawns were roasted so well in Tandoori that it was just dry out and crunchy. The main course tried was- Hyderabadi Biryani- Cooked with fine India gate basmati rice, the dish boasted of a rich flavour, aroma and well presented. The chicken was so well cooked that the meat was just falling if the bone and also the meat had absorbed the flavours well of the biryani.MUST TRY. White rice with Pappu and Ghee- Oh my food?:: Just loved it so well that it was so well done. The humble pappu served on its original avatar was one of the best that I have ever tasted. The desserts tried were: Gulab Jamun- a perfect 5/5 rating for this. The finest, best, just done right bit crunchy on top moist inside ... not too sweet with the sugar syrup complimenting it to perfection. Gajar Halwa- brings out the child within you and the sweet tooth demands for more. Just perfect. A meal for 2 costs Rs 900/- .Cards accepted. No reservations required. Kid friendly. The restrooms are well maintained. Parking available for both 2 and 4 wheelers. As for me will be definitely back for more...

Vandhana, a newly setup restaurant in Sarjapur which offers Andhra, Kerala, Mangalorean and Coastal cuisines, encompassing the flavours of all 4 South India states. I recently visited the restaurant with a bunch of my friends looking at the wide variety of cuisines they offer. Each dish is different and unique in its own way and I am in love with the shuttle ambience they had. The staff was warm and welcoming. They took all safety and precautionary measures. The highlight of the menu was gongura pappu, Mangalore chicken ghee roast, paneer peralan. It was made to perfection and spices were very well balanced. I am a fan of their Ragi mane which was an absolute delight and satisfied my sweet tooth. Would definitely love to visit this place again. The prices are also pretty decent. Thank you team Vandhana for this beautiful experience ❀️ Follow @engagingsoul for more such updates. Heard of Vandana and it’s amazing coastal food, and andhra food❀️ I went there with my friends , and everything was really good, and made with perfection. What I loved the most was the Chicken Ghee Roast, vegetable stew, gongura dal and kodi kura. The food was rich in flavour and medium spicy. What stood out the most was Ragi Mani, the dessert which tasted like Indian Panna Cotta✨ I had two of them. They take safety precautions, the seating is really nice, comfortable and spacious. The place even gives banquet facilities.

Coming pretty close to a perfect Andhra heaven is this place, making my soul rather happy. The restaurant is owned by a lovely couple hailing from Nellore so the flavors are obviously as authentic as you get. The seating capacity is high and the layout of the restaurant is impressive - fine dining experience for the most basic of comfort meals. I'm not a major soup person, you'll know if you have read all my reviews, but since this was an invite-only tasting I happily obliged. Surprisingly, the soup was well flavored - perfect tanginess and subtle sweetness. For appetizers I tried the house special paneer chole tikki (beat me with a stick, I forget the name of it) but it was damn special. Tender pieces of paneer in a slightly tangy flavored seasoning. The mushroom chili was equally lip-smacking with that perfectly crisp on the outside fritters. I also got to try the vegetarian biryani, which was just okay - not nearly as good as the rest of the food that was served. The highlight had to be the meals. The pappu, the tomato chutney, the majjiga pulusu, the rasam -- just sooo heavenly. Perfect Andhra flavors. I got take out for a neighbor - Mutton ghee roast - was practically inhaled back home. The service is very attentive and courteous. Even better was the company I was with. Intriguing conversations with people from various backgrounds and careers. This is a must try, guys. The restaurant isn't hard to locate - parking was also comfortable.
