★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vasai Fort has a very old history. From Yadavas of Devagiri, to Portuguese, it has a varied history. Not just from historical standpoint, but the views of the Vasai Creek is absolutely stunning. The Ruins of Churches, tall towers, super old gates, and wells of fresh water gives this fort a very rustic yet beautiful look.
Ofcourse, the sunsets are absolutely stunning, don't forget to hear the chirping of the birds and feel the peacefulness of the place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place for tourists. Huge area to cover. Plan the visit during morning hours for an elegant experience. Afternoons are too hot to handle at the fort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fort Bassien, this is one of the best historical place I have seen in Mumbai or Thane.
It is well maintained and has buses from Vasai station in every 15 mins.
This place has a very vast area to cover, one will atleast need 4-5 hrs to cover each and every spot in the Fort.
Don't miss the Watch Tower on the way to Vasai Khadi from the Fort. It has the best view of the Desai Creek from the walls of the Fort.
Best place for Photoshoot. Worth visiting with friends and family.

Good location but the security personnel are like goons
I understand cameras are not allowed but to be married couples?
Again when you go in a group, you are allowed n then I saw people properly dressed up in sherwani doing photo shoot just cause they were 8-9 PPL and I came with my to be wide & a person holding a mobile phone camera.
Then one security personnel comes up and asks for bribe!
Shameless!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time on a lazy Sunday morning around 9.00 am without a single soul in the vicinity
Indeed a great place for instagram pics,though the fort is in complete ruins.
Try visiting the place early in the morning and definitely not during monsoons as the steps will be slippery.
Sporadic littering of used bottles,plastic bags was there but overall nice place.No public toilet is available.
Except for jeevdyani wada pav hand cart stall, cold drinks cart and a golawala there is basically no other food stalls at the time of our visit.
There are two fort ruins,but the one opposite temple and besides the temple are the best ( which is hardly at a distance from the first ruin).
Also we came across a ruin with steps which was on the way to the ruins where we again will get good pics.
Can easily walk around for probably an hour.
Parking was free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A humongous ancient structure to visit and to relate understand history. Its a great place to hang out, would be much better if cleaned from time to time also of the structure is restored as possible.
Information plaques if installed would be helpful for getting better information....
It has great history, a village adjacent to Vasai fort gives a taste of the local culture..
You can have a view of the creek which is 5 mins ahead..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fort is quite big. Currently, it is in ruins but it looks very strong & attractive. The fort was mostly dominated by the Portuguese hence you can see the Portuguese influence everywhere in the fort. Also, there is a statue of Great Maratha warrior Chimaji Appa to commemorate the victory over Vasai fort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One less star because there's no information board useful for new tourist other wise it's a very beautiful fort. It's reachable by public transport (Killa stop Bus No 112) from Vasai Road Railway Station. It's very less crowded place which is actually another perk to add for the place. One would fine date plantation and lush greenery nearby
