★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Matheran has multiple points for sunrise and sunset. Rather one side of matheran, looking towards east is treated as Sunrise points and other side as Sunset. Alexander point is probably nearest point for sunrise from market. Its a beautiful place along with a good view. Good and relaxing environment. It's really natural beauty point where you can have mesmerizing view of matheran. From here also you can view Palasdari Lake, Rambaug Point, Garbut Point and Chowk Point. Love the fresh air. Beautiful water streams are visible from here. Awesome Views for photographers. Horse or hand cart is recommended as the road is rocky both up hill and down hill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All greenery best view, don't know why they named Alexander point.surounded by mountains, inside Matheran little far from Matheran main market.15 min walkable.its ok if you don't take the horse ride and hand rickshas, natural view.beware of Monkey.yellow color is favorite for Monkeys. Don't hold any yellow colour items in your hand.they like maza as a drink very much.

The Main points to visit are Alexander Point, Khandala point,One tree hill point,Louisa Point and Sunset Point. All are attractive during monsoon and before November

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Though my pictures are of off season's and also off time's as this point is famous for sunrise view...this is one of the maintenance points in Matheran..if possible try to go here @ time of sunrise ..damn sure you would love it.

Near by matheran railway station...
You can also see the grabbett Plateau in the left side of the point....
Best place for night tent ? without fire....
Tent placing is at your own risk... But it gave a nice night.... But be safe...
Don't make camp fire because heavy wind so it can spread....
Enjoy the night life in the hill...
Wake up early and see the nature beauty and sunrise on the mountains

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Getting to the points is a great experience. Some of the paths are densely forested, quiet and very peaceful. Alexander point is very close to the Market. The view is awesome and would be best during sunrise or sunset. On the way to the point one of the locals pointed out a mini echo point which was pretty neat, keep an eye out for it.
