Went to Dr Vidya Desai for both my Pregnancies. She is a no nonsense doctor who puts your Un born babies interest at utmost priority above all else. This may come across as curt to some but she has her Priorities right and knows what she is doing. Loved her for being accessible at any given hour her attitude and the abillty to take a decision on the spot to ensure the safety of the mother and the baby.

A money minded and unprofessional Doctor. If you are looking for a delivery through C-section go to her because she only believes in delivering babies through operation. NORMAL deliver doesn't appear in her vocabulary.Mine would have been a perfect normal delivery, but doctors like her just believe in minting money and just finishing her job and are not concerned about the well being of the patient. After delivering my son through C -sec when she exited the OT and my husband asked her if it was a boy or girl she even forgot about the gender of the baby???. So now u can think what care or concern would she show towards her patient. I call such doctor butchers who believe in slitting tummies to deliver babies.

Dr Vidya Desai was my consulting gynaecologist when I had my kid, gave me unnecessary tests, didn't check my reports earlier properly when I had borderline diabetes and had mentioned my parents were diabetic. I was not careful and got gestational diabetes. Next in my whole pregnancy she just was preparing me for c section and in the last month I asked if she around in May and she said she is traveling to US for 2 months and thus the date she had planned my c sec I realised was pre planned accordingly for which she gave me a steroid too. I thankfully shifted doctors. In the last month and had a healthy normal delivery which she had said is not possible at all for a gestational diabetic. She is extremely commercial and I wouldn't recommend her. Later on I realised that she has a history of C sections.

Dr Vidya Desai is not less than a God for me... She had really taken care of me and my twins.... She made me feel so safe and assured me that I will deliver healthy babies. And I did... She always responded actively without any delay and took care of my problems..... I am really v v happy with such a fabulous doctor... Thank you.. Stay blessed ?

She is very good doctor. We consulted with her a few years back when my wife was pregnant. We were pretty satisfied. The other doctors/scan facilities she recommended, we're equally good. Only thing you may not like is long waiting period.

As the description says, it’s a business and nothing more. Seems like for doctors like this, this profession is nothing more than a business sadly. I had an extremely poor experience with Dr. Desai and here’s how it was, objectively speaking: 1. I got an appointment online and paid 1000 rupees for 15 mins. I thought the appointment was for 30 mins nevertheless I had so many questions but she started rushing me at 13 mins past repeatedly saying your time will be up in 2 mins. This 13 mins included her telling us that her son lived in the US also and attending to her house maid. Dear doctor it doesn’t work like that - I’m not at a parlour for a 15 min massage!!! 2. Especial people who are ‘maybe pregnant’ for the first time have novice questions and many of them. If u as a doctor will not guide them properly in the beginning itself, how will they feel comfortable and how will they trust you with our bodies in the future. Think!! So be nice and warm and patient! 3. When contacted again on whatsapp to clarify some stuff she mentioned in the prescription (which was sent much later to me), I received half hearted answer and then I was ignored. 4. The following day we msgd her again asking the same thing and didn’t receive a response all day and finally I followed up again and past 7 pm she replied back saying call me. When I called her and asked her the same question, she was rude and said I’m in a meeting!! But I had more questions ???? And you just asked us to call you 30 seconds ago. ??? What Am I missing here??? 5. My humble request to doctors who we applauded for saving lives and giving birth to new ones is, that’s do it for the money, but don’t forget you’re a human being too, not god! Hope my review helps another would be mother who doesn’t need this negativity at a time like this.

Very bad experience. I lost baby's heartbeat at 28 weeks of pregnancy and Dr Vidya conveyed the news and transferred our case to another doctor at Manipal Hospital. She literally washed her hands of us and never checked back. She knew I was a high risk case with previous miscarriage history and she was very careless throughout along with the above mentioned attitude of complete disregard towards her patient's emotional and physical state in such a traumatic time.

She did a C sec on me when it could have been a perfectly normal delivery. I went through the entire labour pain all night, the nurses around me kept saying it was a normal delivery case but she scolded them instead and went for an operation. And then all this was in Manipal. Need I say more? Avoid her is all I can say.
