“Established in September 2012, Women Institute of Technology (WIT) – Uttarakhand Government Institute Affiliated to Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University Dehradun and Approved by AICTE provides high quality technical education to girl students developing them into self reliant professionals. The institute offers B Tech programs across five disciplines: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering for science intermediates (PCM), diploma and BSc holders. These undergraduate courses are duly recognized by State Government and approved by AICTE.Situated in the outskirts of Dun valley, WIT has a sprawling campus spread over acres with calm, serene and natural surroundings with a backdrop of Shivalik range of hills on one side and a rippling river on the other side. The institute provides amiable and congenial infrastructural facilities conducive for achieving academic excellence. It has excellent and spacious buildings, world – class lecture halls with modern AV aids, laboratories, workshop, well equipped library with large number of books and computer centre with strong networking/ internet/ Wi-Fi connectivity for all students and faculty.

Director mam takes so many initiatives for the overall development of students. Faculties are excellent in the way of teaching and very much supportive too. Being a passed out student, it makes me feel proud.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This college is the only women college in Dehradun. It is a TEQUIP funded college having excellent faculties. Great infrastructure with well equipped latest technologies for benefitting students. Most of the classes have smart screens and projectors and the library too is resourceful.
But the drawback of the college is that the examination results are not declared on time and the university website is quite unorganised and students find it difficult to access it plus the university helpline numbers are neither in functional condition nor anyone is bothered to pick up calls which makes the condition even worse. As per placement is considered you are yourself responsible for it although placement training sessions are organized by college.
