Yash Girls Hostel - Pune

Very nice hostel. Excellent service. And very safe place for Girls.

Not good place.. Charges too high and no facilities

To start with, I would like to tell that the place is not at all worth staying. There are a lot of restrictions. The food served is limited and the quality is also extremely bad. During the time of admission they charge you with as good as 80,000/- rupees and tell you that everything is included in it. But during the stay they slowly tell you that there are chares to be paid differently for parking, laptop charging etc. Also, the people staying there need to pay for the room service. As and when the washroom cleaning use to happen, the people staying in the room were told to contribute and give money to the cleaning lady. As far as security is concerned the curfew is at 9:30 pm and there is no consideration if you are late by even one minute because of any emergency. And often you'll find the watchman (who lives in the ground floor of the hostel) drunk and beating his wife. And finally to sum up, the rector is extremely rude, biased,sexist, castiest and misogynistic.

Hostel is in good area. But owner of the hostel is greedy and very rude. Rent is so high as compared to facilities. Meal also not good. Watchman drinks and beat his wife. Worst experience with Yash hostel. I will suggest Paying Guest (PG basis) than this worst place.

As the hostel is located in the prime area the Warden/owner takes full advantage of it. The hostel as a place is nice but the Warden will make the living as miserable as possible like commenting on how much you eat, unnecessary and hidden charges are taken (eg. If a bulb expires she will charge 300rs from us only to replace it ) Place worth not leaving . My stay was for 6 months , and in that period the two watchman and his family left the job as she doesn't even pay them .

Worst hostel ever seen like the charges are so high that u can accommodate 2 people in that amount which the owner asks for . Now talking about the owner very wired and greedy person ever u can see like normal people pay for the beds for the rooms here she charges for water like normal drinking water like for parking different charges for using laptop additional different charges like she can ask for any random charges just because the it's at a place where most of the colleges are there like dk how shameful can a person be when u ask students to pay for drinking water and plus u can't argu here she would taunt u this is what to learn in college at ur home also a special taunt where she u would say u girls don't come here to study or work u just come here to enjoy and waste your money that's it on that u would have compulsory eat at the mess which is been selected by her and even if u don't eat u still have to pay for it... So before going there to stay think twice.....

My duration of stay in this hostel was November 2021 - April 2022. (1) The rooms are not at all worth the cost, the bathrooms don’t even have a basic jetspray. (2) You will have to collect hot water from outside your room, via a tap in the corridor, that too is available for just an hour around 6-7am in the morning, and this causes a lot of troubles in winter. (3) The cupboards are really cramped. (4) There’s only one source of drinking water available and that is situated on the first floor, so it’s a problem for girls living on the higher floors (5) The lift is just there for the namesake, it is open for the hostelites only for an hour in the morning, after that the watchman locks the lift gate. (6) The warden will charge you for little things like laptop charges, parking charges, gas charges, that comes to around 3000 added to the room rent. She will not tell you about these charges beforehand, they are told while you are paying the rent. (7) The parking space is really cramped and the scooters have to be parked outside the shade despite there being enough space inside. She even made the watchman move my vehicle without my permission, despite me being in my room, I was not informed of this and was kept unaware that my scooter which was handle locked was being forcefully moved because she thought that it was not efficiently parked. (8) The warden is not at all an amicable woman, she will charge around 300 for a faulty lightbulb, change rules according to her own will, make remarks regarding one’s clothing and food intake. She is not at all a pleasant person to deal with. (9) Washing clothes is not allowed in the hostel rooms. Laundry is compulsory for every girl. (10) The mess is also compulsory, you will not be allowed to get a tiffin for breakfast or dinner from any other tiffin sources. (11) Not enough space in the mess for all girls to sit and finish having food in an hour, we had to stand in a queue waiting for a long time just to be reminded by the warden that we needed to finish eating quickly. Talking is prohibited while eating. (12) The gas is also located just on the first floor, and you have to get the lighter from the watchman, girls are not allowed to cook anything except make tea, coffee, Maggie. We weren’t even allowed to boil water for our personal use. (13) Electric appliances like hair dryer, hot kettle, iron etc cannot be used in the room. The switches have been rigged in such a way that if any such appliances are used, your room light gets tripped and then you again have to go down to the watchman to get it fixed. The lights will not be fixed if tripped after 9pm. It has been observed that the light tripped while just charging laptops.
