★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the place is good, unique in itself.but walking in the sand is difficult and exhausting. also the watch tower is at the start of the trail and is presently damaged thus cant be used. this place is good only when u have covered all the places in vizag. carry ur own water and eatables, nothing available at the site. be vigilant for snakes, if u go off the trial. there must a watch tower at the centre of the site too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very old naturally formed red sand hills is an another beauty of Vizag. From Bhimili beach road to the Dora thota road 2 to 3 km cross the sand dunes. Full of cashew tree with valla of red sand good place for picnic. But the visitors are dammaging the environment. One side beach and other side beautiful sand dunes starting visirina all over india.

The red sediment is the result of leaching of iron from may be garnet and formation of iron oxide like limonite and goethite. The 25-30 m thick pile of sediment deposition may not be a single episodic event. Basement is still to be explored. Such scenic beauty are rarely observed. Nature is the best artist.

Not clean and not advisable for family trips !! Suggested only when u are looking for solo or time pass trek with friends when u have no time to loose. Or else there are many more places to visit and don't waste tym on this .
