★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On 10/04/2022, I had been to 5 spice at Matunga for dinner with my family. It was very unpleasant experience. Staff is not trained. We had to ask for serving us Glass for drinking water, tissue paper as well as Salt & Pepper. Washroom was pathetic. Food quality has been degraded. Waiter was having Cold, but still he was attended duty to serve the Food to us, that too, without wearing mask. On top of that, when the bill came, they had charged 7.5% on bill amount as Service Charges, which they do not deserve, as they are not providing quality services. I used to love dining at 5 Spice, especially at Ballard estate and the one at Marine drive long ago, and do not know how is position there now, but 5 spice at Matunga was very disappointing, and I will not recommend it for the ones, who like to dine at a place, who serve quality food and quality services, as this is completely opposite to it.

Degraded quality to the yuckiest post lockdown, worst 5 spices menu eaten ever, infact couldn't finish 20%, ordered Dragon chicken which was avg fried chicken at roadside chakna thela, then Thai pot rice, white rice with coconut sauce poured on top, dirtiest taste ever, neither tossed nor soaked. Fooling old customers with Names keeping exact same, preparation and quality and taste are entirely different. prices are also raised with loss of taste. NEVER GOING TO VISIT IT AGAIN

One has to remind the Stewart to get your order / water / sanitizer, etc. Food taste and quality is very good, but I am kind of dissatisfied with their services compared to last time I 1 year back. For the quality of the food, charge is also reasonable. They levy service charge of 7.5%, which is upto you if you want to pay or not. If you're happy with the services, then pay. Else tell the Stewart to remove the service charge from your bill. Have a good dine!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In term of service it is very slow. Taste is good however even service time matter. It took more than 40 minutes for a single dish to get prepared and even till time no water serve was repeated proactively. Staff was polite and courteous. Definitely will recommend this restaurant for food but in term of service they need to improve.
