★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 2nd time in 6 Ballygunge place… went to the new town branch…. Very good food, the ambiance was good… but I think the ac was having some trouble but over all… if you want to try authentic Bengali food… this is the best joint.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a clam and quiet place with excellent buffet menu. The food, the quality, the taste and ambience is just so authentic. If anyone wants to eat traditional and authentic Bengali cuisine, then 6 Ballygunge place is definitely the one for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 6 Ballygunge Place was the perfect place for a family reunion. Great ambience, good food and service. Posto bora, Chicken Tampa... , Chutney, Fish fry , Baked Mihidana were superb. Bhapa Ilish was good quality but lacked the zing. Suggest to add a dash of raw Mustard oil before serving and some slit green chillies. RJ and Dhanjoy were a big help in curating the menu. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best places to try Bengali cuisine in Kolkata is 6 bullygange place. Apart from thali, alacarte menu is also available. Taste of every dish is impeccable; Incomparable. Homely environment. Excellect interior. Price is also reasonable. If you want to eat Bengali food, come here without any second thought.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were four of us including my parents and sister. Super slow service in the a la carte section. One starter came after 40mins. The second starter came after 90minutes, that too after repeated reminders, and by that main course was over. They ran out of steamed gobindo-bhog rice, so had to wait with dried out fingers. The waiters definitely seemed overworked. I also saw four other tables where the customers were upset with poor table service. We had to remind every time to refill our water glasses. The dirty plates were stacked on the floor and service table behind me (see photo).
Food was delicious and that was only the saving grace. Food bill ₹4500+ deserves a far better service. My parents have been here earlier twice and they were upset today, and pledged not to come again.
I read the other reviews with similar experience.
I won't recommend 6 Ballygunge Place to anyone, unless you have immense patience and poor appetite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered Govindo vog rice ,bhetki pathri,and mutton bhuna.But I faced some problems.Rice were not boiled and mutton bhuna were not boiled.and food was the lowest quality and high price. The rice changes 2 times but not boiled.I waited almost 40 minutes. I didn't not eaten by food. But I paid the full money . I also recommend to all if you want waste time and waste money then you can go and enjoy it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is really good. Authentic bangali babu vibe it gives. The interior is similar to Tagore Rajbari palace. The food was good. I dish had gotten stale so after complaining they changed the dish. We took buffet and the price was 750/person. On weekends they have special menu and the rate is 900/person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice experience, visited twice on consecutive days. Tried both ala carte and buffet lunch.
Buffet was ok, not extraordinary.
One of the item ( jhinge potol alu r torkari) was stale. After informing the matter to the staff, they promptly changed it .
Otherwise I must recommend the in house sitting experience.
I tried their original branch at Ballygunj, in comparison to that, this one is slowly catching up.
Nice place for a family get together.
Must have: alu posto, nolen gurer ice cream and mochar ghonto
