★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amaravthi ancient capital for many kingdoms. It was ruled by Mauryas, Satavahanas, Ikshvakus, Vishnukundina, Pallavas, Cholas, Kakatiyas etc. Amara Lingeswara Swamy Temple is very famous in this town. And also Buddhism Stupa became more popular in recent days. Stupa is like other normal stupas only if you have free time you may visit it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magnificent statue of Lord Buddha in the quite town of Amaravati. The structure is next to the Krishna river.
There's an entry ticket for adults to enter the place. The auditorium below the structure has a decent seating capacity where the preaching of Buddha is projected along with a voice backdrop.
Just outside the auditorium is a passage filled with wonderful carvings on either side of the walls.
The area surrounding the structure looks incomplete and needs to be looked into.
Also the approach to the place is through a narrow lane. There are no sign boards leading to the structure anywhere right from the entrance to Amaravati.
