Security arrangements are top notch and even a dedicated helpdesk has been set-up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all I have to say that this is my hometown and birthplace so I have an emotional connect to it. I have seen it from childhood and how much it has changed in last 5 years specially, the sanitation work done to maintain proper hygiene at the station is absolutely magnificent, the entire location surrounding the station is a sight to behold specially at night. The first railway engine tilotama, the restaurant on wheels(which is a unique design and idea), planting decorations on walls, fountain and metallic little design models of bikes, trains at just fabulous.

Asansol is a city in the state of West Bengal, located in the region of India.
Traveling to Asansol is easy thanks to the railway connectivity.
The station of the city is named as ASANSOL JUNCTION and its station code is ASN. The station takes care of all the basic amenities of the passengers.
The station is well-connected to a number of Indian cities. Some of the major routes include to the places of Howrah Jn, Chennai Central, and Patna Jn. There are 110 weekly trains connecting Howrah Jn to Asansol, 23 weekly trains connecting Chennai Central to Asansol, and 5 weekly trains connecting Patna Jn to Asansol.
Some of the popular trains traveling to Asansol are Agnibina Expres(12342) to Kolkata operating 7 times a week, Intercity Exp(12384) to Kolkata operating 6 times a week, and Intercity Exp(13504) to Kolkata operating 6 times a week. Traveling in one of these trains will be a memorable experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean station and it is located across a very large area. Trains to almost all destinations will be available from here. Asansol station is one of the oldest stations in India. There are many small food shops at the bus stop in front of the station. Although the station is not always crowded, there are occasional large crowds. The distance from the station to Asansol main bus stop is about 5 minutes by bus. However, the bathrooms at the station are not clean.
