In this era of Paneer or blend food the core Maharashrian dishes are getting lost and this generation is going away from the authentic delicious food which is flavoured by majesty spices
Today I visited AthaanS with the mindset to have good NonVeg food however when I entered in restaurant I found the couple eating “Birda Rice Dahi & Bhakari” and could not resist to have “Birda Rice Dahi & Bhakari” it was available in both Large & Regular Combo – Combos are their Modern representation of thali(s) which would give you good feel & presentation of your food. I like the concept I am sure you would also enjoy it.

Birda mhanje mod aleya Kadhanyanchi Bhaji – it is famous both walache ani Chavaliche Birda...Both the sprouts grow in Raigad...and no wonder we found both of them in Raigad Special Restaurant- AthaanS. They have listed it proudly on their menu.
Both these beans soaked overnight may be for couple of days and when the sprouts come out they are taken for cooking. These are cooked in Onion , Tomato along with their authentic spices – there are two variants to it dry and curry. Generally Dry goes well with Bhakri and Curry goes well with Rice.
I am not writing much, if you are Brida lover or if you want to try the authentic Birda which is speciality of Maharashtrin food then you must visit AthaanS..!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sukat ani Tandalachi Bhakari, believe me it’s a heavenly dish. Your brain will give u mental satisfaction when you have it.
I had my first Sukat Bhakri in Dapoli few years back, and i became a huge fan of the dish.
I was searching for a place in pune which serves authentic rice bhakri and sukat. Years after, just last week I got a recommendation from one of my friends about AthaanS. He said that he found the taste of konkan in pune....
So i headed to AthaanS and I had Sukat bhakri today with the same soft tandalachi bhakri (Rice Bhakri). It was a splendid experience and I couldn’t stop thanking them for this food bliss!
To talkabout the restaurant, AthaanS has the Quality and taste; I was not expecting to have a matched taste of sukat bhakri which I had in Dapoli, but to my surprise its even better. They do not have a general cook, they have their legacy family members to get the recipe made right and guide the cooks . They serve “the sukat bhakri” with right set of modern packaging. I am really impressed with serving too.. they called it as Sukat Combo .. impressive ..!!
Full Recommendation for Sukat & Tandalachi Bhakri, btw very few restaurants serve Tandalachi bhakri in Pune.
If you are authentic sukat bhakri lover then I would recommend AthaanS

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a new restuarant near dominoz wakad. The options are galore for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. We went there on a team dinner as per the recommendation of a colleague and we werent dissapointed. Started off with the kaleji fry which was juicy to the core and next on we had keema fry which was equally to the mark. Its a galore for sea food lovers right from prawns, bombill,pomfret,surmai fry. I would also recommend their homemade mutton recipe which is a delight for all non vegetarians. Being an avid food lover i would recommend everyone to head out for a dinner/lunch. Athaans has both outdoor and inside seating arrangements. Ashwini the host will also guide you through the various dishes and the tricks behind the preparations of the various dishes.
