★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Babughat is a Ghat( bathing area) on the bank of the river Hooghly. It is an old place & a bit dirty. It is well connected through road. The long distance buses to different states from Kolkata start at Babughat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent place to enjoy the panoramic view of the Ganges in the evening from the bank of the river. Howrah Bridge on the right while the 2nd Hooghly Bridge on the left and the Howrah Railway Station in the middle. Fabulous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just crossed the footbridge besides the rail line situatec above the ghat . The bridge is very good for evening walk .Very clean have enough light . But the ghat was not cleaned properly . Here you can find various type and destination buses. You can see eden gardens . Can go to maidan. Here you can get transit every time . Generally its very crowded area .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local block development authority needs to come out of hibernation and act with responsibility! There is no provision for public toilet and public litter in open. Very very dirty and unhygienic place. Such an old and important connecting place, amenities should improve, where are the taxes paid by citizen going ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local one of the most popular interstate bus terminal but extremely unorganised. Foreigners advised to avoid this terminal. For security no problems but non cooperative people. No proper counter for ticket all seating on road to sale ticket. no time table. But if you miss Train or not get reservations for "GAYA" or "Bhubaneswar" it's good alternative if you can manage.
