★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The manager there Vinayak Patil is extremely friendly and has some very good takes on life. Love the way he leads his life by helping so many children. Part of the larger family - SOS children's villages based out of Pune and Kolhapur. Takes clothes and all things children can use. Children are taken care of well. They take in clothes for adults too which are given off to the Pune center.

Definitely, there is no other children's home better than Balgram amongst the others visited by me.
The children here are provided with a holistic atmosphere for physical, mental and cultural development.
The children are well cultured and the inmates take all the necessary efforts to provide a conducive environment for the children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had volunteered there for around 6-7 months.Vinayak Sir is a very kind and polite person.The children there are very well-mannered.I used to teach them different subjects,play with them,narrate them stories and at the end, I always used to lose count of time.I could have spent the whole day with them if it would have been possible.The rooms where they stay are so hygienic and tidy.The children are educated,go to English medium schools on a daily basis,are well aware about the things happening around,good at GK and everything.They respect strangers a lot.When I used to reach the gate,they would come running at me,open the gate and greet me with a namaste or a wave.I used to love them a lot and they too loved me and other volunteers like me.I wish to go there again and make teaching and spending time with them a part of my life.
