It's a one of the main station of sealdah south section.Ambience of this station is good.This station is clean and well maintained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most important busiest junction in south Kolkata. This is a very traditional and also very expensiive place. From ballygunge station you will get train towards sonarpur, baruipur, namkhana, dhakuria, etc. This is a very crowded and extremely busy station. The station is not covered fully with shade. One thing which is extremely disappointing is that there is no workable smart card machine for purchase a train ticket. all machines are damaged.
