★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst experience I've ever had with a bank. Would never recommend to anyone. I needed to open an account, when
I approached them, the relationship manager behaved as if their services were so promising that no one would ever choose any other bank over them. Firstly I was told that my account would be activated in 7 seven working days, and I had to make an initial deposit of 2000 INR for opening a non maintenance account. I was okay with all of this hoping everything would happen as I was told. After 7 working days, I visited the branch to find out that my application had yet not been forwarded to the main branch. Now this was on a Monday. I was told that by Wednesday my account would be activated and that i would be able to make transactions. Now, on Wednesday I came back to learn that the account activation process is still held up. I had to wait for an hour and a half just to hear a "no". I was asked to come back on Thursday again. Now Thursday is the 11th day since I had applied for an account. I went there in the morning and had to wait for an hour again to get my account activated. That too all they gave me was a passbook and confirmation that the account has been activated. Withdrawal is not allowed here using withdrawal slips. However this an be done only if the branch head approves. While I was waiting, the branch head was not in her office. She came there after an hour, around 11:25 am. When the issue was brought to her notice and when I spoke to her about this, she spoke as if they're doing me a favour by allowing me to withdraw my own money. First of all, I gave up on my time to visit the bank thrice just to open an account, which was not done properly even after the eleventh day. Then I was told that I am not "allowed" to withdraw my own money, even after providing all my documents and completing all the formalities from my side. Anyway, the approval was done and I got my money. Though I am still waiting for my cheque book and debit card, which I am being told right now will take another 15 days to be delivered at my residence amd another additional 15 days for me to receive my atm pin. There's no point in having an account in this bank if it takes over one month for me to get my account running properly. Even the worst govt. banks dont make you wait so long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good new bank in the block featuring best savings interest rates and FD rates. Co-operative staff amd helpfull. If needed same day service to you residence is also provided. No minimum balance requires to maintain a savings account. Being on 1st floor, a lift would have been beneficial.
