People believe that their wishes are fulfilled by the goddess..... Every Saturday there is an aarti to pay homage and convey people's respect for goddess Kali and God shani........ Its a really good place if you want to spend some time while waiting for your bus to arrive........ And its almost at the center of the baranagar bazaar market so you will not miss out your delicacies too.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is one of the oldest kali temple . Since Ramakrishna used to visit this temple , when Ramakrishna was in Dakhineshwar, implies that this was built earlier than 1880s. So , at least 140 years old. It can be many times older but no record is available about the earlier state in which Kali was established .
Presently , the place of worship is in divine presence of a few other God and Goddesses .
The priest here takes care that the devotee's prayer are sacredly offered to the deity without any tinge of commercialisation.

Some says, a monk once created this idol by the mud of river Ganga. At
the onset it was under the shed of sedge (হোগলা). Then, this temple of
'Dalan' style was built. Rani Rasmoni and Sri Ramakrishna used to
visit this temple frequently...
