It is under the jurisdiction of Eastern Railway zone. Baruipur Junction railway station is one of the busiest railway stations of Sealdah railway division. More than 80 pairs of E.M.U. Local Trains ply through the railway station on a daily basis. It is situated in South 24 Parganas district in the Indian State of West Bengal. Baruipur Junction railway station serves Baruipur city and the surrounding areas. In 1882; 137 years ago, the Eastern Bengal Railway constructed a 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) wide Broad Gauge Railway from Sealdah to Baruipur. Electrification of the Sealdah–Baruipur line was completed with 25 kV AC overhead system in 1965–66.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best station in my opinion. Some mistake is available but if you forget it the station was too good. Need some development and also need to clean. The over bridge was too good,in rainy days the view of the station in over bridge was outstanding.looks good and feel a better feelings.

Is a very big station....always crowded with people.....local trains always available here.....you can go sealdah, namkhana,diamond harbour through the station....station is full of food....the railway staffs are very helpful...there are so many ticket counters to avoid the crowd.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
