★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Garia is an island platform. So many problems crops up. When two trains arrives together the station becomes overcrowded. Also the shops capture most of the place. The platform length is too short in comparison to the train length. It becomes very difficult to get off & board train.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Garia panchpota(back side of the station) needs more improvement especially of the roads. The condition of the roads are too pathetic. Except that the atmoshphere is good. There are large fields with green environment.Netaji Subhash Engineering College is one of the spotted famous engineering college in Garia Panchpota here. Most of the available vehicles are Auto or Rickshaw, Toto...There is also Techno India Modern School near the college. Others like medicine store, grossery shop, markets, temples, saloon, food, restaurants etc. Near the station side, bus, taxi, auto are all available. Needs more improvement though in many more things and so on

It is on the banks of Adi Ganga.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I live in Garia, Kolkata and It's beautiful. Especially traffic connectivity is very good. You can go howrah via bus. You can go Sealdah Railway Station via bus. You can also go to Dakhineswar via metro as well as train and bus also. Also you can go Saltlake, Sector-V via bus. You can also go to all places of South 24 Parganas via bus or train from Garia Railway Station. This place is a very popular and busiest place in kolkata and lots of nice places is also here like Patuli Floating Market etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it but Little bit congestion but food stalls are really good in low price. Take auto reach metro station discover new places spacialy in puja time you can also travel by normal train. Good transport system though. But after 9.30 it is hard to find out auto sometime.
