★ ★ ★ ★ ★ V.good picnic spot , enjoyed a lot here, specially from train Mhow to kalakund heritage train, I think it is good to went here in monsoons & winter in summer season pls avoid to go here as nothing to see here in summers

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The last stop for the 'Mhow-Kalakund' heritage train, this station is pretty picturesque and offers majestic views to the Passengers. It is said that the Station is used to be famous for a sweet dish known as 'Kalakand (कलाकंद ), so the people started calling the station 'Kalakand' which over a period of time become 'Kalakund'. A highly recommended place to visit especially in the monsoons!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place to visit in Rainy season. You can feel Hill station feeling nearly Indore with a joy ride of Heritage train. If you want to enjoy whole trip then don't rely on food served by Railways, Keep food of your own if you don't want to spoil your trip at the end.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been visiting this place since my school days in 8th class as I was in scout and guide. Since then I have been here numerous times with my friends and with family in train. My journey started here with five day brief stay of this place with treking on a mountain in from of the station..it is a dense forest area and you are going to love it if you visit after an end of rainy season. You will find water streams throughout the year as they have small dams made all over the place. Crossing a river is not a tough task. We have crossed the empty river hanging on a rope that was fun...you will love this place as the access is not easy very few people go there, most of them just get back from the station area and nearby by river, but real beauty is beyond that. Lots of custard apple trees are there, in season you get bucket full of it in 20 to 25 rupees. Well it is an enjoyable place if you go in right season which is winter from August to max February end..enjoy..
