★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A railway station in south Kolkata near Rabindra Sarobar lake and anyone who lives near Tollygunge can get train for any route. This station initially had only one platform but now its extended into two platforms one for Budge Budge Majerhat and another for Sealdah trains. This station is connected with Rabindra Sarobar Metro station and the stoppage where this station is situated called Charu Market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historical place for the Calcutta Circular Railway !! The line was commissioned from Dum Dum railway station to Majerhat railway station on 16 August 1984. No pedestrian subway or foot over bridge is available here.

It is under the jurisdiction of Eastern Railway zone of Indian Railways. More than 45 pairs of E.M.U. local trains pass through the railway station on a daily basis. It is situated in Kolkata in the Indian State of West Bengal. Tollygunge railway station serves Tollygunge and the surrounding areas. The station consists of 2 platforms which is very clean and well maintained. The station can viewed from the neighbouring Rabindra Sarobar Lake. It's too close to the Lake Gardens station.
