Crowded during morning and evening hours.
Face of railway station will change after functioning of up coming metro station....Joka BBD metro line.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Majerhat Railway station is located beside mint and Behala gurdwara. The station is located under the bridge and is use mostly for local travel in Kolkata city. Tickets reservation counter is here to provide tickets to travel all over India. Due to metro construction the road heading to the station is in poor condition currently. The station has been renovated and the new look is applaudable.
Note: Railway reservation counter is closed on Sundays for booking for other states. Counter is open for local tickets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A railway station you'd appreciate for cleanliness and tidiness. The platform is less crowded. Near the river Ganga, majherhat junction is one of the important railway junction of the circular railway of Sealdah division. The station is well designed at the entrance too. Appreciable effort worth saying by the Indian railways.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean station premises. Not that crowded, outside of the station, transport option is not sufficient.
There is a toilet in the station premises, (platform number 1) but that is not clean.
The over bridge (for crossing platform) is too narrow for 2 people to walk side by side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Majerhat railway station falls under South section of sealdah division. Majerhat railway station has 5 platforms. Starting from 1 to 5. Generally up trains for sealdah from platform no 1,and down trains for budge budge from platform no 2 halts here also few trains for Nahati junction, BBD BAG junction, Kolkata, Baruipur junction, Barrackpore, Lakshkantapur, Ghutiari sharif, Hasanbad junction, Barasat, Habra, Ranaghat jn and Duttapukur leaves from here. Majerhat station has booking counters 1 and 2 for reserved trains and 3 and 4 unreserved counters for local trains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a nice and clean station. It has 2 Automatic Ticket Vending Machines(ATVMs). From here we can travel to Sealdah, Budge Budge, B.B.D Bag, Naihati, etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean spacious station. Not too busy like other suburban junction station. You can change train for Budge budge or BBD Bagh or Sealdah.
Less food options available. Available platform station bench type seats are here and there. Drinking water facility is available. Paid toilet and bath is also available.
