A great place to see the old beautiful remains of a fort. Located on a small hill right next to the CIDCO guest house, the fort offers a great experience of old times. You are welcomed with a watch tower right opposite the municipal corporation building which further takes you to a beautiful winding road up the hill. The entry is a little difficult to spot but there is an orange flag on a tree to the left that leads you to the fort. The fort can only be seen after a short hike through dense woods but that is where it's USP lies. I've heard that it is being revamped and made into a usable space but before the commercialisation takes place id recommend a visit to the fort and see it for its ruins and how traditional fort Architecture was on the sea shore.

This place is very calm. Near by city but still unaware from people this fort is getting rebuild which is good sign. You can get to see different birds over here

The road that leads upto here is amazing you could cycle or take your car, finding parking maybe difficult. But the fort is currently being developed. You may visit it after June 2021 my guess but it looks magnificent even as it's getting developed and restored. Don't miss the small well or dam that's on the right side as you go up the road it looks very beautiful. Spotted a lot of beautiful birds and also it was very quiet.

Not a good experience. Could not understand form where to enter. Enquired with so many locals, and everyone had a different version to say. With less time, I was able to visit the temple at Belapur fort village, but no luck with the fort, as I was presed for time. The local authorities will do good if they can install proper signages and directions.

It's small fort. It is in ruins. Government agency (cannot be archaeological survey of India) is trying to 'repair' the walls and buruj. The work is shoddy and looks garish. At best it would get converted into a cheap picnic spot for hordes of city dwellers. Views from the top are nice. On one side you can notice the new railway line to Uran and along side the sea port being built. On the other side is the creek Another unfortunate part is a building complex called 'Forest Hills' on the same hill as the fort and towering above the fort making it insignificant in comparison to the modernity

Amazing place to go by walk or a drive. Very calm and peaceful surrounded by dense trees. You will love the wonderful sunset view from this place. The history of this fort dates back to 1560. Sharing a picture of the history of fort.
