This temple complex houses two temples, one popularly known as Bhavani Shankar and the other, which is partially excavated, referred as New Bhavani Shankar temple (Narayani Temple). ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The New Bhavani-Shankar temple was excavated from the compound below the existing Bhavani-Shankar temple. The excavated temple has a distinct architecture. The wall area that has been unearthed is divided into a central niche for the main deity and two side niches. The side niches contain rock friezes of foreparts of lion and elephants. The central niche contains an image of Lord Shiva seated with his wife Goddess Parvati, a feature absent in other temples. Other Siva temples normally contain images of Lord Ganesh, Kartikeya and Parvati in these niches. In this temple, Siva is depicted with four arms. There is a halo behind Siva and the traces of one behind Parvati also. The bull Nandi is portrayed, looking back upwards at Siva in a most disarming manner and below Parvati is the head of her lion. The bands of carving around the niche include floral motifs.Part of one side wall of the main hall is built up of undecorated blocks of stone with a simple grille window in the centre. There is no space between the shrine and the main hall, with the front wall of the shrine acting as the back wall of the hall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Temple is located near Mohini Temple and Bindu Sagar. The temple is very small. It has sanctum sanctorum with rekha type vimana and Jagmohana with Pidha. The temple is Pancha ratha on plan and Pancha anga bada in elevation.
This is a living temple and has Shiva Linga and Bhabani as the main deities. Bhabani is pronounced as Bhavani in other parts of India. Shiva's consort Parvati's another name is Bhavani. In a way, this temple is different as Shiv Linga is found along with his consort in the sanctum.
In the temple complex, there is another ancient temple called Narayani temple is located.
The temple belongs to the 14th century CE and was built by the Gangas. This temple is a fine example for beautiful temple architectural style of Ganga Kings. Unfortunately, it can also be considered as the example for how badly renovation work can be done. When science and technology was not developed in those days, the beautiful temples were built. In the current era, where we are well equipped with technology, we could not even properly renovate the temples.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bhabani Shankar Temple
I was so excited to visit this temple cause peculiarities of this temple attracted me. So it is believed, after killing the Kirti and Vasa demons Devi Parvati or Bhabani took some rest here along with Mahadev. So the temple was built with this belief.
As the sanctom sanctorum shivalinga is worshipped along with consort Bhabani. The temple premises consist many loose distorted sculptures of Sahasralinga, Panchamukha Shiva, Nrusingha, Uma Maheswar and others
Also the consists two burial temples of kriti and vasa demons.
