It is an abandoned temple and the sactum is empty. it is neglected by the government. Since it is one of the tourist attractions it should be maintained by the government in every possible way. Nobody is concerned about the monument. The temple is crumbling on account of total negligence.Needs immediate attention for conservation.

Papanasini Siva Temple is an abandoned Hindu temple located in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India.Currently, the superstructure has partly collapsed, though the finesse of sculptures therein still interests. The huge pond in the compound precinct having step wells in all sides with greenish azure waters is a sight to behold. Its believed a dip in this pond relieves one of his sins; so this temple is named Papanasini Siva Temple.
