★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best part of this shop is its wonderfully located right at Konnagar Bata More where I have heard that people from Sodepur -Barackpore region asked their guests to wait and take ferry service to bring the best chops for them . You must try their Veg, Egg and Bom Chop. And their best items include Fish Fry and Ghoogni in Matir Bhar making it special touch. I can say this shop is best in entire Hoogly district. They know how to make tasty food with less amount of oil , of course they use branded oil . Believe me once I had a fever and lost taste to food I went to Bhondul Shop and had their Fish fry and I got my taste back !! They are so quick in their action that you no need to wait for long even if their are many customers. If you reach late may be post 7 30 pm you will hardly get any items , such is the demand!! I know people have only one negative remark about them that they are rude and harsh at times. But let me tell you they are really very nice persons inside. They just make comments about every thing they notice but please take it lightly , and you will never repent after having the food. Please bring plastic bags as they don't have any , wait for your turn and kindly don't ask for your order multiple times .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can reach this place from Konnager station. From Serampore side and from Uttarpara, Bally side. As the place is located just near the G.t road , you just need to come to Konnager Bata. Bus, Auto you can avail anyone to come over here . The ঘুগনি is absolutely delicious over here ( 10 rupees per plate) . Severeal other fried foods are found over here : Fish fry, Dhoka, Dimer chop, Mangser Chop and etc. But you need to go early in the evening, as after 7 o'clock in the evening all the foods are almost finished.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately found this place to be overhyped but you definitely get what you pay for. Maybe they're the best in their locality. It's not the best you've tasted, neither one of the best. They claim to be using bhetki for fish fries and chop. Their signature bom chop is an aloo chop in an advanced level with one/two small chunk of mutton wrapped in flour based besun. What more can we expect though in just Rs. 10?! I liked their ghooghni which costs 15Rs. They serve it in a medium sized mud kulhar and has traces of mutton fat in it. It tastes really good for what we pay. Absolutely fine for a one time visit but definitely not worth a dedicated visit from Kolkata.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decades of experience regarding this hidden, or not so hidden gem! Going there since childhood, back when the shop was not this big. Dhoka, byom, ghugni, fish fry, chop, everything is a delicacy here and sold faster than hot kochuris!! A must try for anyone visiting nearby areas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let me say it clearly, Bhondul's fish fry is one of the best in Hooghly district and beyond doubt, its the best in Konnagar - Uttarpara - Serampore region. They use fresh fillet of Bhetki fish and the coating is not at all oily. The fry has a perfect blend of crunchiness and taste of delicious fish fillet. Definitely give it a try.
