The announcers of this station can do better multitasking than women. They announce 3 trains in one platform together, my god, very talented. This leads to the gathering of crowd of 3 trains in one platform, so u can get good massage also. Further, if you think it doesn't get any better than this, then you are wrong. You get to participate in the circus called let's get in the train, which is the prime attraction and a unique feature of this station. Overall very unique experience

Heavily crowded area on working days. To board your train on time you need to reach here at least 10 minutes before to avoid rush. To board trains through main line going up (Naihati up, Kalyani up, Krishnanagar up etc.) reach to platform 1. To board trains through chord line going up (Barasat up, Duttapukur up, Bongaon up, etc.) reach platform 2. All downward trains arrive on platform 3 and 4. (Thakurnagar Local passes through platform 2 without stopping, board Thakurnagar local from Sealdah or Dum Dum Junction or Dum Dum Cantonment.)

Most complecated and a horrible important railway station. A large number of commuters for saltlake and Sector 5 bound working people use this station but facing so many problems. Subways are so dirty and facing bad odear all the time. Stair case tiles are not seen every where. Senior citizen and dibbangs are facing so problem every day for the last five years. All the subways are full of dirty rain water or most of the time they do not pump the regular water from the subways ground. Rail over bridges are packed with odd people who are not passenger at all. No display of train time and platform and never heard proper announcement for comming up and down trains. Railway staffs are badly behaved all the time. Ticket counter always get more and more valuable time for ticketing. Most of the time A.T.V.M. are out of service. All the entry and exit points are covered by vendors and autowala etc.RPF staffs are mostly corrupted here. It's mess for commuters still this is the last and first station for up/down after Sealdah Junction. Please do something. Where are the railway authorities? If they want to visit this important railway station relating to my experience I will be with them if they wanted. This station should get more and more fesilities at the earliest.

Bidhan Nagar is the most congested station in the Sealdah Eastern zone. The station is the exact next station after sealdah. There are four platforms in the station. No.1 and No. 2 are "up" train platforms. No. 3 and No. 4 are "down" train platforms. All the platforms are interconnected via foot over-bridge. Express trains, local trains both are passed from this station. From this station, you can go towards the north side and also you can go towards the south by lots of sealdah local. You can also go towards ballygunje via Sri Gurudas Banerjee Hault. From this place, in the mainline, you will get Barrackpur Local, Naihati Local, Kalyani Simanta Local, Ranaghat Local, Gede Local, Shantipur Local, Ranaghat Local, Krishnanagar Local etc. In the cord line, Dankuni Local, Baruipara local. In the Bonga line, Madhyamgram Local, Barasat Local, Habra Local, Gobordanga Local, Thakunagar Local, Bonga Local, And in the hashnabad line, you will get Hanshnabad Local. Except for these local trains, there are some express trains also like Lalgola, Uttar bongo special etc. Rajdhani, Duranta Express passes from this station.

The station is good. Good for catching local and mail train! But as for the short space the stations are quite different! Especially when the upcoming train changes the platform! There should be another overbridge in the middle from platform number 2 to 1. And another one should be on platform number 3 and 4. It's really though to handle a huge crowd from local area and also saltlake area! But it needs improvements!

Bidhannagar Road is a Kolkata Suburban Railway junction station on the Sealdah–Ranaghat line. It is linked to the Sealdah South lines via Sir Gurudas Banerjee Halt railway station. It is located in Ultadanga, Kolkata in the Indian state of West Bengal. It serves Ultadanga, Kankurgachi, Bidhannagar and other surrounding areas. Many EMU trains coming from or going to Sealdah stop at Bidhannagar Road. Most long-distance trains skip this station but a few stop here.
