You have to wait for around 3 hrs for consultation. However, the fees are only 2 rs and you will be satisfied with your treatment. However, non-generic medicines are hard to find at the college pharmacies and you might have to pay a larger amount to get them from outside.

first its a government hospital known for skin treatment speciality. but had bad experience. waiting period everyday is min 3 hrs to 4 hrs. and after waiting all those tedious hours an intern was checking without any senior doctor nearby and that also they do not listen to your problems in detail just look and chalk down loads of medicine(my one was costly with each sachet costing 600 bucks!!!) within 2-3 minutes. without any guidance from senior doctor if u do not get proper consultation after waiting 4 hours in line its really frustrating. like this doctor anybody can become.

The British East India Company established the Indian Medical Service (IMS) in the year 1764 to look after Europeans in British India. On 9 May, 1822 the British Government laid down a plan to fill the position of native doctors in the civil and military establishments of the Presidency of Bengal. For the said purpose and imparting the medical teaching in local language , on 21st June, 1822 they founded β€œThe Native Medical Institution β€œ. In 1833 William Bentinck committee recommended a requirement of a medical college 'for the education of the natives'. Consequently a new medical college , known as theΒ Medical College KolkataΒ was established on 28th January, 1835. Its purpose was to train native youths irrespective of caste and creed. The admission of the students were started on 20 February 1835. Out of about one hundred applicants, only twenty students were selected through a preliminary examination. Students had to sit for final examination on completion of the course and β€œPresident of the Committee of education certificates” were being awarded to the successful candidates for practicing surgery and medicine. They were eligible to apply for public service as β€œNative Doctors”.The year 1836 was a landmark in the history of indian medical teaching when the first dissection of a human corpse was conducted by Madhusudan Gupta, student of the first batch. On the 10th January and this day now is observed as Medical Education Day in West Bengal. Other renowned students of the first batch were Umacharan Seth, Rajkrishna De, Dwarakanath Gupta and Nabin Chandra Mitra. First batch of students passed the final examination held on 30 October 1838

Best Place for all your skin and related issues and have a good legacy. But But but Takes you almost arround 3 hrs. Okay No worries. Now the worst part after spending that much time you will be prescribed by student and fellow and then they will say that piche road pe tram cross karke kisi bade dukaan se medicine lena(at back after crossing the street and tram line buy medicine from a renowned medical shop) Now the plus points are. Appointment will cost you only Rs 2. Try your best to get checked by professor or senior doctor. Otherwise you will keep on having visit and spending huge money on those medicine(arround 3k-5k/visit). For males Wednesday and Saturday. For females Monday and Thursdays.
