★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was immensely satisfied and suitably impressed by the depth of knowledge our guide and explorer Ramanuj displayed during my Calcutta Walks experience this morning. We went on the Sovabazar/ Bengali Calcutta Walk through the narrow lanes and bylanes of Old Calcutta. The architecture and quaint history of the buildings and the people they house are fascinating. Ramanuj told us many stories from this place intertwined with historical references, from Swami Vivekananda to a rich Calcutta merchant called Ram Dulal. We made a stop at an old Calcutta house to take a break from the walk where we were served tea and biscuits. We also sampled some delicious peas kochuri (deep-fried bread) and mishti (sweets) from Girish Chandra Dey sweet shop and a little shop next door. It was an amazing experience right from the beginning at 8am till the end at noon. I would love to go on the other walks that Calcutta Walks organises, and I will.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were a groups of 4 on a mid-week tour over Christmas; and we really enjoyed the tour of Calcutta. Ramanujan was a very engaging guide!
The mini-food stops along the way were a pleasant surprise! Highly recommended for anybody wanting to get a feel of the city in a couple of hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kolkata is three hundred years city, but it has hiatory of 1000 years. if you need to feel this history and stroll in lifestyle then you definitely have take this 1/2 day walk. you'll see burried canon, Ip charch, hearth temple. After stroll you may sense you simply completed whole world cultural tour in 6 hour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kolkata is 300 years city, but it has hiatory of 1000 years. If you want to feel this history and walk in culture then you have take this half day walk. You will see burried canon, Ip charch, Fire temple. After walk you will feel you just completed whole world cultural tour in 6 hour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ramanuj clearly loves his city. A superb guide and the Walks were incredible. We did two- confluence of cultures and White Town. We talked and laughed and ate and drank as we walked. A wonderful company to walk with......they also tailor make the walks whenever possible. So do give them a call when in kolkata.
