★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the seven entry gate for walled city.people coming from sikar road, ajmer road enter walled city from here. Near the gate , is very famous chand pole hanuman ji mandir.Very heavy traffic area.

Love this Pink City if anyone want to visit Jaipur then have at list 3 days stay program and try to view Amer Fort, Nahar Singh fort, Jantar Manter, Museum, Birla Tample, Raj Mandir, Kanak Ghati and Baag, take photo at jal Mahal, also view Hawamahal. For stay at Jaipur choose hotel by own and never take help of autorikshaw, bcz the have commission deal with hotels, room are available from 300 and AC from 500 and highest as you wish. Once in life Jaipur should be visited with family. Food on Amer fort road must avoid because their food has no quality and price are very high. Jaipur is very peaceful city and very beautiful for vacation during winter season, summer should avoided.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's one of the historical gate among the other of jaipur city . The architecture of this gate is very old about 17 century. Here you can get e rikshaw for all markets.A very old hanuman temple also situated at the corner of this gate. Here you can see lots of traffic because it's connected to many sites and markets. Toilets facilities also here.. Metro station just walking distance from there and local buses stop also there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The knock knock joke here in Jaipur’s walled city would take on a completely different meaning with its many doors/ Darwazas/gates spread across the city. We asked many denizens of Jaipur to list the Darwazas of the city and though everybody seemed to agree that they are between 7 to 9 gates in the city but the names on everybody’s list were different. So we dug a bit deeper and have put together a small yet detailed guide for tourists and residents of Jaipur alike to know your one exquisite darwaza of the walled city of Jaipur from another and to never again get lost in the city.
Sawai Raja Jai Singh II did half the work with his architect by planning the city in 3 X 3 squares based on the Indian Vastu-Purush-Mandala. These squares and thus all the roads are aligned North-South or East- West. These 9 +1 squares constitute the Jaipur’s walled city. The city is guarded by 7 primary gates or pols which formed the entry-exit points into the walled city. They are a part of the city ramparts and each gate is unique and its name carries a clue to its location and reason why it’s called that. (Yes, our very own Da-Vinci Code!). The very first clue is, when in doubt – Look up!! ?
The centermost square of the Old City is the City Palace and Govind Dev Ji Temple
Chand Pol means the Moon Gate . Along the East-West Axis of the City, it lies diagrammatically opposite to the Suraj Pol and forms the Western Gate of the walled City.Spot the famous and ancient Chandpole Hanuman Ji Temple with its 25 feet high Shikhar abutting the gate, if you are here you know you have reached the western end of the walled city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Among rest of the gates in pink city Chandpole Gate is one of them. It is beautifully designed by the earlier king of Jaipur in 17th century. The basic motive to design and manufacture these gates were, that time they wanted protection from enemy that could affect his governance so, these gates were closed earlier at night so that no one could enter easily without permission. Nowadays, these become heritage for the people that can maintain the recognition in mind that what this is for. Visit here to understand better.
