Generations have changed, recognition is the same… Holika Dahan begins at the City Palace in Parkota. Generations have changed, but the recognition is still the same today. Here people gather from the mohalla of Parkota. Members of the erstwhile royal family perform Holika Dahan after performing the pooja.
The Sarvato Bhadra is a unique architectural feature. The unusual name refers to the shape of the building: a Sarvato Bhadra is an open, square, single-storey hall with closed rooms at all four corners. [11]One of the uses of the Sarvato Bhadra was as Diwan-e-Khas, or the Hall of Private Audience, which meant that the ruler could meet with the officials and nobles of the kingdom in a more private and intimate space than the large spaces of the Sabha Niwas in the next courtyard, which was open to more people. But it is also one of the most important ritual buildings in the complex, and remains so today, as it represents a "living heritage". Due to its location between public areas and private residence, it has traditionally been used for important private functions such as the coronation rituals of the Maharajas of Jaipur.

At present, this beautiful and intricate hall displays the artefacts and relics of the past and tourists can enjoy going through them. These artefacts give visitors an idea of the history of Diwan-e-Aam, how it was used as a hall for listening to the grievances of the common people and it now stands as a museum for them to experience its rich past.
