★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a station on the main line of howrah division. It is one of the busiest routes in eastern railway. Reservation service, food for longer journey is available. It is well connected with other areas by bus, auto and toto service. You can find a market for vegetables and stationary down the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chinsurah or Chuchurah: Former Dutch Colony during 1600 century established by the Dutch government when they come here all along the west bank of river Hooghly and set up their own empirevin the province of little Europe like others French,Danish,Portugese. They built up forte Gustave, Administrator building,stadium,church , graveyard (still carrying the history and heritage) nice many works of Danish and later Britishers are scattered everywhere in this old town and surroundings. Sweets are one of the best collectibles here. Namely Panchanda Sweets at Khadina More crossing is the best sweets shop here with a bit expensive price lists but quality and aesthetic is just awesome. There are other good sweets shops are there also.One must visit once to explore the Indo Dutch British cultures and Historical facts. Winter season is the best time to visit along with Jhadhatri Puja and Durga Puja celebration times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all I would like to discuss some basic information before going through the details.
We noticed that "Wheelchair Accessible" parking area was available in front of Chuchura (Chinsurah) Railway Station main entrance, visual indications and audio announcement systems were available on every platform at Chuchura (Chinsurah) railway station for special needy persons also there were seating arrangements for special needy persons. We noticed that only platform no.1 had a wheelchair accessible entrance ( from the front side of the station) but there was no wheelchair accessible entrance to reach platform no. 2 and 3.
Bus stand and toto stand are located within the station premises (In front of station). The station has had fans and light on every platform.
Now I would like to discuss the matters in details, we marked the wheelchair icon " WHEELCHAIR ICON" with marking "√" for PASSED and "X" for FAILED .....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic railway station, well and cleaned. Announcement system is very good. Pedestrian over bridge and underground exist is available.
I came to this station on a winter morning and felt very good. Bought a chicken sandwitch and "Britannia 50 -50 biscuits" from a station vendor and it was nice.
