Absolutely stunning! We were lucky enough to have no crowd around. The idol of maa kali is beyond breathtaking, so so so beautiful. The architecture, the vibe, the whole surrounding is absolutely incredible!

The motherly love which Sri Sri Ramkrishna had for MAA KAALI ???️?can be felt here, very clean, quiet and peaceful place. Anyone who wish to meditate can do here, before entering the temple premises every common people has to deposit Mobile phones ? and shoes ? for which a specific shop/counter has been made. Situated on the eastern banks of River Hoogly, sunset and sunrise is beautiful to witness ?. After the lockdown for Covid-19 bhog distribution in Belur Math has been stopped so you can have bhog in Dakhineswar Temple or else go to Adyapith Temple.

First would like to start from parking vehicles, there is a very well maintained and reserved place for parking. Police Personnel is appointed for security purpose at the entrance of the temple, no mobiles and shoes are allowed inside the temple. I would suggest you to keep your shoes and mobile phones in your car, to avoid the long queue at the deposit counter. Once you enter the temple, obviously you will be surrounded by people, pigeons as well as spiritual positive energy! It's very beautiful and serene!! There are many small temples around the main Kali Temple. Usually you need to wait in a long queue to get inside the temple and get a glance of the idol of Kali Ma, give your offerings and take blessings. The whole place is very well maintained! After exiting the temple, you will find many small hotels. I suggest you to try Dal Kachori from the hotels!! You are gonna be in love with kachoris!!! Even though you might not be a believer or a person who prays or worships on a daily basis, but for peace, spirituality and blessings, do visit Dakshineswar Temple once in a while! You will love being there!

Calm and serene place. Mobiles and bags are not allowed in the temple. The security guards will ask to deposit at the front gate. Best time to visit is early in the morning or late in the evening as it becomes very hot

A systemically operated Hindu temple environment. If you are driving in - park in the parking lot and follow the crowds through a security check. If you double back through a gate on the left, then back towards the parking lot (but now on the other side of the fence), then you get some of the best views of the entire complex. That done - make your way into the main complex, check in your shoes at one counter and all devices - cameras, phones, battery packs, etc - in another. Go through another security check and you are in. Pick a line of your choosing - the lines with side views of the altar run faster, the one with the front view runs slower. After you are done with the main complex and are reunited with your cameras, phones, and shoes, make your way to the ghats and get views from the other side of the complex.

Well this place is again one of the most peaceful place in kolkata but beware of crowd its most of the time so crowded too. Just some basic information no mobile or bags or shoes are allowed you have to submit it in the place of submission. And no cameras are allowed to in the temple but you can take everything to the ganga river side .

Wonderful arrangement for puja and meditation. There are counters outside to deposit your shoes and bags. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the main premises and these too have to be deposited. Car parking facility available. Neat and clean temple compound.

Very beautiful serene temple which has a extraordinary calming effect. A must visit. The river just behind the temple looks wonderful and clear. P.S.- Keep you mobile phones in your bag or else you will be asked to get rid of it before entering the temple (during the security check).
