DAV College - Chandigarh

I would not recommend this college at all . first is that it has only good faculty . office staff are not good at if we have some application to sign they didn't even listen to us .we are not allowed to meet principal incase in emergency also .Most of the classes are not taken saying that teacher is out of town, strike blah blah .unnecessary payment are taken .no notice are given about the fee payment and at last they take late fee submission It's all just waste of money . It has reputation just because of some celebrity are studied here other then that nothing is good here

Ok so dav college Chandigarh has a decent infrastructure but but it has a really small area compared to it's students capacity .. all rush always..but good college for study

Good place for education. very Big campus. Having a large number of students.But there is no parking lot for cars of students. crowded place. Reasonable fee structure. Well educated and experienced Faculty. Having very big library with variety of books of all kind and also having big cricket ground as well having basketball and handball courts

Best college for their courses and for sports persons who wants to excel in sports career.

DAV College is a co-educational college in Chandigarh, India. It was founded in 1958. Affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college offers various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. It is situated in Sector-10, Chandigarh near Hotel Mountview. DAV College Sector-10 Chandigarh, is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh. It is managed by the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College Trust and Management Society. The college was founded in 1959, when the city of Chandigarh was in its infancy. The college belongs to the family of DAV institutions, founded by Mahatma Hans Raj, and inspired by the visionary Swami Dayanand Saraswati, the doyen of the Arya Samaj. The DAV movement, which started in 1886, aims to develop a scientific approach among the students, coupled with an understanding of their roots in the ancient Vedic Culture.[1] DAV College was awarded 'A' Grade by NAAC. It is ranked - Commerce-45, Bca-21, Arts-35 and Science-33, as per a survey by India Today, June,2020." The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) has declared the college a "Model College". It has launched postgraduate programmes in I.T., Commerce,English, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Maths, Zoology, Psychology, Public Administration and Sociology, Business Economics; and postgraduate diplomas. Students involve themselves in programmes like blood donation, drug de-addiction, AIDS awareness, pulse polio campaign and service to the blind, giving shelter to street children, and literacy classes for senior citizens. The training is given free of cost. The college has a tradition of remembering its students who laid down their lives for the service of the nation. There are four pillars at the entrance of the Administrative Block which depicts the name and laurels of the Martyrs. The list of the name of the martyrs are Capt. Vikram Batra, PVC, 2/Lt. Rajiv Sandhu, MVC, Capt. Vijyant Thapar, Vr. C., Maj. Sandeep Sagar, Capt. Atul Sharma, Maj. Navneet Vats, SM, Brig. B.S. Shergill, Capt. Rohit Kaushal, SM, Capt. Ripudaman Singh Rajawat, Lt. Anil Yadav, SM, Flt. Lt. Gursmirat Singh Dhindsa, Maj. Manwindra Singh. In 12th December Dav collage Chandigarh was opened due to Exams for Post of Clerk.

It's just great. I am 2nd year student here and believe me... You will get a natural college vibes here. A peaceful environment for everything whether you want to excel in the field of study, sports, music and dance, acting,... Everything...... It's just GREAT... ????

Now , *) Good College For Sports *) Infrastructure is good *) Most of time Teachers are absent in Classes and don't take lectures.. or every other month there is some kind of strike. *) Extra Fine nd many other unnecessary charges are compulsory to pay. *) Very very costly Canteen and Hostel fees too much for a normal family to afford. *) No concession in anything or Scholarship For Scholars or Poor Families. NOT RECOMMENDED
