Derby opened it's flagship restaurant in BKC; a new party destination. Inspired from various derby races ,this place has young vibes, amazing ambiance & warmth. The interiors is done so well with colourful seating tables & old style layered brick walls gives a racecourse feel. It has classy yet styling décor Let's take a gastronomic ride in this derby Let me tell you guys the manager Raheem greeted us and made us feel comfortable. He along with server Sagar helped us choose the best dish in veg as well as non veg options. And trust me they have in-depth knowledge of cuisine and knows what exactly our taste and served us the best ones. "Genuine risk "is all we need to climb the ladder ; the amalgamation of pony whiskey with ginger , orange, citrus was light and had amazing taste and a great start off . A must try for whisky lovers. In mocktail, we tried Watermelon ; it's a mix of razzberry, mint & soda which was soothing and refreshing just what I was expecting. Wayanand pepper paneer is one of the best starter; it's prepared in special kerala style with curry leaves , coconut milk & pepper over the top. The paneer is really soft and well cooked . Katsu vegetables is unique dish, it's deep fried mix veggies zucchini, baby carrot, babycorn , mushrooms, wasabi . Just loved the crispiness and crunchiness. Try out Sev Puri with a twist; that's Guacamole sev Puri made of edamame hummus ,charred corn , jalapeno. It's so amazing and really loved the taste as well. A must try dish. If you're mushroom lover then I would suggest you Dhuadaar Galouti , it's a mouth watering dish, just so soft and melts in mouth made of goat cheese ..it's mind blowing and definitely loved the variation. Dal khichdi ; Khow suey style was so unique and the variation was so delicious and perfectly cooked. Our meal ended on a sweet note with "Aap twist kare" mix of traditionalgajar Ka halwa , zaffran milk, ragi soil & thandai mouse. The styling and preparation was amazing and it was so yummilicious Also they have Jain menu as well ♥️ that's amazing ? Wear your hats and ride on the gastronomical derby experience over the weekend ♥️♥️♥️

Always had derby on my list ever since i have got to know about the place's new opening in Bkc and Lower Parel . The place has a very simple yet a very pretty decor with a seperate bar counter and an in house dj section so do pop in here after work on a friday or saturday night after work hours. The place is extensively known for its types of dimsums and its homemade ice cream which is a must try. The staff here is very courteous and amazing suggestions about their menu so do take in their suggestions. Must try would be 1- Dimensions Royal - a whiskey based cocktail which is so beautifully blend with the orange flavour its worth a try . 2- Guava - A simple guava chilli mocktail which has a very refreshing flavour with basil and other spices makes it really amazing. 3- Chicken Gyoza- As derby is known for its dumplings do checkout the chicken gyoza which very well made with the perfect chicken filling inside totally loved it . 4- Soba Salad -Japanese style soba noodles tossed with soy sauce with sweet potato and cheese sauce making it a really unique appetizer . Do try it . 5- Derby Special Nachos - Derby special nachos is loaded with topping and 4 different types of sauce having Guacamole , sriracha sauce , cheese sauce and the marinina with onions and tomatoes very fresh and great taste all together. 6- Shanghai Bowl - A bowl filled with tossed veggies and nice spicy soy sauce with fried rice a typical and a complete main course which is a filling dish for two. totally loved it do try it out . 7- In house ice cream - Their inhouse dessert is their homemade ice creams which are available in 4 different flavours so do try i out Hass Avocado and Roasted Hazelnut !! Totally love the vibe of the pace and the service here . A special mention to John for being such an amazing person providing us with the best of service .

A new restobar with stylish decor. Lit enough with great music to set the mood. Chef Morya helped us with some wonderful food suggestions. This is some of the best service I’ve had in the capital and the staff deserves high praise for it. What i tried: Drinks- Cosmopolitan - The classic cocktail with lime a dominating flavour & vodka helps in diluting other flavours. Guava mocktail - Honey, chilli, mint & soda. A chilled spicy good looking drink. Food: Squash & cheese kulcha - Piping hot stuffed kulcha full of butter. The kulcha was soft with good thickness Stuffed with Ajwain, cheese, zucchini & garlic butter. This was served with green chutney & pickled onion which tasted really well with kulcha. Pulled Jackfruit Bao - Kerala spice, scallions and ginger. This was a stand out dish with great flavours. A must try. The strong flavours of ginger & Kerala spice was the highlight of the dish. The texture of bao was soft & thick as needed. Mix vegetable & Garlic wonton with chili oil - Loved the thin texture of wanton & punch of garlic. The condiments like chili oil added flavour to it. Fresh greens, Garlic, Ricotta & Corn - Dimsum served with Broth. Couldn’t stop slurping the broth, so aromatic with a fresh hit of garlic & ginger. This is a must try. Dessert: Freshly baked chocolate Skillet Cookie topped with dark chocolate ganache & caramel popcorn icecream - A+ for me. The gooey texture of square shaped cookie tasted just perfect with thick chocolate ganache & salted popcorn icecream. The flavours of this dessert was a real treat. Definitely visiting again. My recommendation for must try dishes for vegetarians are -Pulled Jackfruit Bao -Fresh greens, Garlic, Ricotta & Corn -Freshly baked chocolate Skillet Cookie topped with dark chocolate ganache & caramel popcorn icecream.

Derby serving sheesha in their bkc outlet was one of the reason I was excited to visit them other than the good food stories that i had seen on social media. I was invited as for a food tasting session on a weekday dinner hour and I went in with high hopes however to my shocking surprising, it turned out to be a terrible experience and one of its kind experience where I had to leave the restaurant in between my dinner meal. Since I had visited their lower parel outlet, I was ready for a real good experience however the team here is completely on a different tangent compared to their other outlet. We dint even get a glass of water for a long time until we requested for it. The team members seemed to have least knowledge of the items being served which is why 3 different people from their team gave us 3 different explanation of a certain dishes however I truly appreciate the chef coming to meet us and giving us a clear picture of what we can expect with dishes. For eg The manager of the outlet believes long island ice tea that's placed in the cocktails section of bar menu is not a cocktail but a regular straight drink. While I absolutely loved the food items I tried I was disappointed with the way the team would forget some or other things mentioned in the item description for eg the humus plate had pita bread missing and then the chicken tikka I ordered for. While calling for an Apple and arugula salad, one person said they don't have it available post which the 2nd guy said they don't have specific items in it available and finally when we enquired with chef upon meeting he said it is available and was served. While all this had disappoint me, I still avoided the negatives and ordered for sindhi mutton curry from their mains menu which has very limited options, to which I was asked they don't have that available either and all this was after the dish was suggested by one of the team member himself. I knew the drill and I requested them to check again with kitchen team. After about 40mins we got our main course. Looking at the dish, my disappointment has now turned into irritation for the dish that was said to be serving 2 people at a price of 455rs plus taxes was barely a tasting portion with only a few bites. I enquired with my server who agreed that this is not the portion they serve usually. By now I lost my cool and I left my table without even completing my meal. The attached pictures of mutton curry in cooker might as well give an idea of the disappointing potion. This was the only time ever I had to leave a restaurant in between my meal and that too only for the quantity which I never cared about otherwise. Despite all of this I wanted to ensure I dictate the experience to the manager who had instructing the team all this while but all my words completely went on deaf ears and all he had to add that 1 guy who served us of 3 was new. While I really appreciate the kind gesture by the team who invited me for a review tasting, I strongly criticize this kind of behavior and treatment even for the regular guests. they have a valet whom we usually pay out of interest however the valet here has a fixed charge which I got to know after coming out of the restaurant.

From what I tried I absolutely recommend these dishes because they were just so so good and so worth it! - Derby Nachos (especially the cheese and guac) - Cream Cheese Rangoon - Chicken Prawn Sui Mai Dumplings, loved how its made! - Mediterranean Bowl (so healthy!) - Skillet Cookie (BEST THING EVER) From the drinks I also recommend, Thunder Snow, Secretariat and the Moonlight Romance. All the three were so good!

This cool restaurant is all BKC ever needed. Overflowing with fancy uptight restaurants, a chill fun place is need of the hour. Not just that, it also serves a variety of dishes, some even fusion dishes that tops my To-Try list. FOOD Mocktails ✔️✔️✔️Mango ? Refreshing tropical mango with a contrast of spicy chilly made for a perfect drink. #MustHave ✔️✔️Watermelon? I'd rather call it a Watermelon Mojito. Thirst quenching watermelon with basil topped with loads of ice. I found the ice in excess, eventually diluting the flavor. Otherwise, it was just right. Starters ✔️✔️✔️Garlic Paneer Succulent paneer tossed in Oriental sauces with garlic, sesame seeds and some crispy rocket leaves. While ordering it seemed like I was calling for a regular Chinese starter but what arrived blew my mind. Such a flavorsome dish, it couldn't get enough❤️ #MustHave #SFFWrecommends Main Course ✔️✔️✔️Three Cheese Pomodoro Risotto It's a burst of flavors with blue cheese, cream cheese and parmesan coming together. With the tanginess of Pomodoro sauce and tomatoes, it balances out the dish without making it too cheesy. It was a well-cooked risotto with Italian seasoning and exotic veggies. We had requested to add some veggies and they did it generously. NUTSHELL REVIEW Food - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 4/5 Exceptional food, cool decor and well-trained courteous staff. Having tried most restaurants in BKC, this one definitely sets the bar even higher. Elated with the experience, I'm definitely coming back for more...
