The lake is dying , builders are dumping materials and water takers sucking the borewell water. No govt authorities seem to be concerned.

Hats off to individuals who have planted and owned the responsibility of the saplings around the lake. The lake almost dried up few months back. Now we see water in patches. This lake in Doddathogur can be made an attraction. Depending on the authority is not a solution, people residing in this area need to come forward and collectively take responsibility in saving this lake by stopping illegal dumping of thrash, keeping the lake clean, planting trees at the perimeter of the lake. I have heard certain individuals are taking up this as a project to revive the lake and do sapling plantation around the lake. Future looks good for the lake!!!

Lake is dumped with drainage water from near by apartments around. Water is polluted and it's no good for birds. Government should take strick action and save the lake

This can't be called a lake anymore. The lake is dying you can hardly see water. It has water plants all over it and the surroundings are used for dumping waste. You should not use the adjacent road during night as it has lots of dog and filth.

Is this a lake first of all. It looks like more than a dump yard than a lake. It's not even maintained that means cleaned once in a year. There are not fences to give it a boundary. I have also seen that many of the waste drainage systems ends up here spoiling it more.
