Doordarshan (abbreviated in English as DD) is an autonomous public service broadcaster founded by the Government of India, which is owned by the Broadcasting Ministry of India and is one of two divisions of Prasar Bharati. It is one of India's largest broadcasting organisations in terms of studio and transmitter infrastructure, having been established on 15 September 1959. It also broadcasts on digital terrestrial transmitters. DD provides television, radio, online and mobile services throughout metropolitan and regional India, as well as overseas, through the Indian Network and Radio India.
Employees and their families can avail this facility by applying in advance to the official in charge of the Rest House and paying a nominal charge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for three days. Despite ten years into retirement, the old family bond of AIR & DD remains good. My special thanks to Vikasji, Gurweenderji, Negiji and Natwarji. They are all doing their best to take care of the campus. Facilities are good. Temperatures were sub freezing levels during our stay. Still the gadgets and blankets made sure that we were comfortable. Mall Road is about 40 minutes walking distance. The steep climb and downhill from the state museum tests your ability. The garden is good. Beware of monkeys.
