Dr. Ajay Ajmani is an experienced Delhi-based Diabetologist with almost three decades of experience behind him. Besides an MBBS, he has procured an MD in General Medicine and the superspeciality DM degree in Endocrinology. He is available for consultations at the BLK Superspeciality Hospital, where he has been since 2010, designated as Consultant and Head of the Department of Endocrinology. He can also be met at the Diabetes, Thyroid and Endocrine Clinic, which is located in Ajay Enclave.
Following his post-graduation, Dr. Ajmani took up residency at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital in New Delhi until September 1987, after which he was posted as a Medical Officer in the Delhi Administration Service up to June 1993. As he pursued his DM, he was stationed at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research in Chandigarh. He returned to serve the Delhi Administration, this time as a Medical Specialist from June 1993 to March 1995. Subsequently, for the next four years, he was also involved in training at the Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, before he moved to the Dr. RML Hospital where he held the positions of Endocrinologist and Senior Endocrinologist/Head of the Endocrine Unit until January 2010. He is recognised as a teacher at Delhi University (Faculty of Medicine) and at IP University (Faculty of Endocrinology).
Dr. Ajay Ajmani has been keenly entrenched into research dealing with thyroid, pituitary tumours and diabetes, having conducted several related studies and clinical trials. He has contributed to a large number of peer-reviewed journals and books, with articles, papers, abstracts and chapters, many of which have also been presented at conferences over the years. He regularly attends conferences, seminars and workshops on diabetes and endocrine disorders and has also participated as speaker and chairperson at various meets. Further, he has been involved as a member of the selection committee for recruiting doctors for posts in medicine and endocrinology in government Institutions. In addition, Dr. Ajmani has also been on the panel for various government projects and institutions for issues relating to diabetes and endocrine disorders. He is a member of several professional associations and bodies.

However, won't be able to do the same to Dr Ajmani.when I had my second online appointment with him for my Thyroid, he suggested a change in medicine and was not willing to listen to any of my concern and kept the phone around in few seconds or a minute. I was little baffled as I could not discuss issues that I am facing. After 2 months which is yesterday I had my next appointment. I got other tests done along with my Thyroid. Few of the test were very concerning including my Thyroid which shoot up to 35 from 2.5. I wanted to discuss other reports which were concerning. However, he had zero interest in listening to my concerns and when I told him there are few concerns in my report. He said nothing is related to it.. Thyroid and Vit D are concerning for which I am writing the medicine and then he abruptly kept the phone. It left me quite bewildered as how anyone could behave so cold that too a doctor. I had all my questions ready and would not have taken more than his 10 mins to discuss all issues concerning in my report. But that doc could not even spare complete 5 mins to listen to the issues.
I never had such bad experience. I won't recommend him to anyone. Rest ofcourse is your choice ?
