Dr Sabharwal is the 4th generation doctor in his family of 140 doctors. His special interest is in Shoulder Surgery and Sports Injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle. He returned to Delhi after completing years of fellowship training in Upper Limb Surgery and Arthroscopic (Key Hole) Surgery for Sports Injuries from Adelaide, Australia. He worked at the hospitals associated with the Southern Adelaide Health Network, one of which being the FMC which is the largest tertiary care center in South Australia. He has undergone special training in Shoulder and Elbow Disorders at the Repatriation General Hospital, Adelaide, Australia.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had ACL reconstruction surgery and Dr. Akash Sabharwal was my surgeon. Post surgery I didn't have to use any brace or crutches and was able to walk within a couple of days and also had full flexion and extension of my operated knee after two weeks. Dr. Akash consulted me regarding the exercises that i have to do and worked along me through my rehabilitation and though it has been only two months since my surgery my knee almost feels normal already.

I have to say he is without any doubt of the very best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Sabharwal operated and treated me for a ligament tear. The procedure went smoothly and he recommended a physical therapist that quickly had be back to full capacity. It was a good experience and I would recommend him for any injury, as mine was a positive one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a minor fracture in my right foot and Dr Akash did an amazing job of patiently answering all of my questions and doing what was best for me as a patient. As a foreigner in India it can be scary to go through a serious injury but I was never once worried or concerned as Dr Akash took such good care of me! Would highly recommend to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am an amateur cyclist and outdoor enthusiast. A couple of months ago I had a fall from my road cycle and broke my left collar bone in 3 places; A serious clavicle fracture along with other injuries.
Dr. Sabharwal met me immediately at the hospital to discuss my injuries at length. He was very forthcoming with his analysis... His confidence and knowledge put me at ease. As it turns out, to maintain my current active lifestyle, I would require a surgery (a titanium plate had to be inserted to hold the bone together and in place).
Owing to other injuries (of the head) this could have been a complicated operation but because of Dr. Akash Sabhwarwal's experience and reputation, I knew that I was in safe hands; the operation went quite smoothly without any incident... My trust in his abilities has only been reaffirmed.
As it turns out, Dr. Sabharwal is a very busy man, yet he always takes time to meet all his patients...they are his priority. It can be intimidating to go to hospitals yet Doctors like Akash go out of their way to make an otherwise uncomfortable experience (an operation and journey towards recovery) as comfortable as possible for the patient.
I am looking forward to getting back to cycling and running... accidents like what I went through can happen randomly and without forewarning thats how life is... I take comfort in knowing that dedicated Doctors like Akash are there to take care of such problems.

I was under good care from him and his team, which was a great experience in the hospital. Dr. Akash is a dedicated doctor that you can trust. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Akash is highly dedicated and sincere doctor. He is the best in analysing problems as well as in treatment including surgery. He did ACL reconstruction of my right knee along with meniscus repair of my 20 yr old problem. He gave more than his 100% for surgery which lasted for about 3 and 1/2 hrs. For a year, I did not feel comfortable post-operation as I was probably not doing right thing while running to board and deboard trains. But with passage of time, my knee has got better. I would like to thank Dr. Akash for my timely surgery and his sincerity towards his profession. Sometimes he tries to convince that you are okay but don't fully trust him on that. Generally body takes time to recover and we need to give that time to our body. But he is surely one of the best in his profession and may be the best too.
