5 stars are not enough for him.
We need more such doctors in India for reliable medical experts.
I am writing my pleasant experience after almost 60 days of my surgery.
As i was born with ectopic thyroid having medium sized goiter swelling on neck, and being a girl I had faced several discomforts while interacting with people.
Finally, i decided to go for a surgery and chose best surgeon for consultation i.e. Dr Ashish Pokharkar.
He is truly an expert and living god on earth. His hands are only made for surgery..and his soft strict attitude really made patient feel light, positive and reliable in every aspect. He cares for his patient just like his own family members..
So on our first meeting, i was not carrying many of my reports and dr still identified it so easily by just doing physical examination that its ectopic thyroid which is rare in thyroid cases.
Then after sonography USG and FNAC, we concluded it is safe to remove thyroid gland by a surgery.
I was having so many conflicts regarding type and options for surgery like open or endoscopic or transoral surgery..which one to go for...side effects and all...and Dr suggested me to go for transoral as i wanted cosmetic and it turned to be the best decision, as i have recovered without any scar on my neck.
He even took care to his best post-surgery too...
I would surely recommend him for any type of surgery..

Dr. Ashish Pokharkar performed a complex Laproscopic surgery and cured her of ulcerative colitis as well as the tumour in the colon.
Dr. Pokharkar was very friendly and approachable throughout her treatment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all I appreciate him for perfect medical treatment and diagnosis and mental support. One of the best surgeon I ever seen. Personally I never know him till my family doctor pointed me to oncosurgeon without any name. I came to know his name by the name plate outside his cabin :D. Very first time when I consulted him, I asked him hell lot of questions, some of them were twice and he never hesitated me to answer those. I think the guidance and medications was proper, it helped a lot. Another best thing was the diet he designed, was awesome. Due to that recovery speed was very fast.
I feel he is the master in cancer surgery. Definitely will recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Ashish Pokharkar is a GEM of a person! I was diagnosed with sinonasal carcinoma (a rare kind of cancer) in July 2021 and Dr. Ashish treated me for the same. Unfortunately before him I met an ENT surgeon who misleaded me under the name of mucormycosis (which was actually a cancer) and gave me wrong treatment. After we got to know about the cancer we met Dr. Ashish through another oncologist and he guided us through the entire treatment. He is very friendly, humble, skilled professional who understands the patient's state of mind and supports him to get through the entire course with confidence. I had to undergo a complicated skull surgery as well and he got the best neurosurgeon for this. There was also a lump in my breast and just by physical diagnosis with his expertise he was sure that it was non cancerous. My surgery took around 8 hrs and he was present in the operation theatre even after his part was done to make sure everything goes well. He is one of the very rare doctors who takes the complete responsibility of the patient. From choosing the best hospital, involving the best surgeons, skillfully performing the surgery, till the patient goes back home with a smiling face, he takes cares of everything.
I was fortunate to know his wife Dr. Shital is an ENT surgeon and they both worked together along with the neurosurgeon on the day of my surgery. They both visited me daily till my discharge date and made sure I was doing well, even though it used to get late for them to reach their home at night. Like a family they both cared for me, made sure the hospital staff is treating me good. Being such a well known onco surgeon he is so down to earth. No words can express my gratitude towards him, he is a very kind, noble and someone because of whom I was able to fight this battle! Today's world needs doctors like him who truly cares for his patients and is an example of a perfect doctor, a living God on Earth!
