Dr. Meha Sharma - New Delhi

Visited regarding my mother.My mother is under her treatment since 2 years. We visited many doctors but got no good results. Very humble and compassionate doctor. My mother is now relieved from pain and is really very happy now. Thank you doctor!

Irresponsible behaviour showed by Dr Meha Sharma, Rheumatologist. My mother has been a regular patient of her for 2.5 years back. Today morning she took a walk-in appointment to see the doctor at 11.07 AM. After waiting for 90 minutes she got her turn to see the doctor as per waiting queue but doctor refuses to see saying that I will give priority to people who have taken appointment and less priority to walk-in patients. We raise our objection saying that this is not right - we have been waiting for so much time and all patients are equal, so please see as per the queue. She refuses to do so and asks us to speak with management. We go to reception and the reception again assigns us a new waiting number. As a patient, we had no choice but to wait and wait and wait. Now after waiting for 150 minutes (2.5 hours), she finally sees my mother, prescribes 3-4 medicines in a hurry and at the end says - 1. The doctor says - I only see patients by appointment and I do not see walk-in patients. 2. The doctor also says do not come to me next time and see some other rheumatologist next time. This is despite the fact that my mother has been her patient for over 2.5 years. After waiting for 2.5 hours, my mother was not feeling well, having headache and also vomited. But the doctor did not bother. I fail to understand what kind of an irresponsible behavior is this? Why is the the doctor showing so much attitude and ego? As a patient, dont we have any right to raise a complain? And if we complain, this is the way doctor behaves. If the doctor cannot behave properly and manage her patients well, she should stop practicing. On top of it, she is lying saying that she does not see walk-in patients whereas hospital has no such policy. Does Venkateshwar Hospital keep liar doctors? How will we trust you then? This complain was also raised to the Manager present there and to Dr. Ajit, who said they will speak with Dr. Meha Sharma. But this feedback was not satisfactory. Dr. Ajit himself was very casual in handling the complain and seemed to be not much bothered. I am sorry to say this but after this irresponsible behavior by your doctor and poor patient management, I am not going to ever visit Ventakeshwar hospital. And I will also recommend to my friends and relatives not to visit this hospital. I really hope and request you to take action against Dr. Meha Sharma and bring her to terms with respect to the hospital values of trust, respect and patient care. She needs to learn to respect each and every patient of hers and not forget that there are several other betters doctors then her in this city. Thank you very much.

She is an excellent doctor, a true academician and a wonderful human being. I discuss all the rheumatology related problems in my patients with her, and most of the times she is able to provide solutions even on phone. She is one of the best rheumatologists in Delhi.
